Bee Garden - (Restaurants in Laganas)

Louise P  (06 October 2002)

We went to the Bee Garden for our last meal in Laganas. It was the end of the season so it was relatively quiet. We had a fantastic meal, the service was excellent. We had the meal deal for two which was about 35 euros. This included Spring Rolls (4) or Chicken Corn Soup. Beef Curry, Chicken Chop Suey, Sweet & Sour Pork, Special Fried Rice & Jasmine Tea. For the two of us it was too much to eat but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cozy Corner - (Restaurants in Laganas)

Louise P  (06 October 2002)

This could be a coincidence but now I've read some other reviews I'm not quite so sure. There is a rumour that the sickness bug sweeping across Laganas is something to do with the water supply. However, my boyfriend's, quite literally, GUT REACTION tells me that maybe the burger purchased from cozy had a lot more to do with his bed- ridden sunny day than the high calcium content of the local water. Eat there at your own risk!!!

Millagro - (Bars in Laganas)

Louise P  (06 October 2002)

A big Yasou to everyone at Millagro's! The bar may not have stippers on the bar or barmen breathing fire to get you interested, but it does have the friendliest and most helpful staff of any bar we visited in Laganas, to keep you coming back. A small tip for would- be alcoholics is to sit at the bar itself, relieving the busy waitresses from serving you and allowing the obliging bar man to provide compensation in the way of free cocktails, to their own design and experiment. One memorable drink of this variety would have to be the "Doctor Pepper" which tastes exactly as it sounds, despite being made from a potent mix of lager and a couple of spirit shots. The obliging barman in our case was Yianni and if anyone reading this sees him say hello from Lou and Col and challenge him to a game of hangman!!!! (Greek style)P.S. Cocktails were only 3 euros, a full euro below anywhere else after 11pm!

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Louise P

A must for those of you travelling to Zante in the future! Make sure the weather is good as you stop several times to swim and you stop for an hour at the beach of the shipwreck. We had a fantastic time, we even saw a 'caretta caretta', in english that's a 'turtle'. It only cost us 15 euros each which is about £10 each for the whole day. Don't book with your rep on the first day or you will spend the whole holiday avoiding them ;-) Book with the tour operators, those irratating chaps that stop you every night on your way to dinner! They will actually save you a lot of money, probably at least half the price that your rep will charge you! Be warned!
