Alykanas Beach Hotel - (Accommodation in Alykanas)

Can anyone tell me if there are sun loungers/umbrellas available on the beach in front of the appartments? Glad to hear so many good reports - can't wait to go second week of June!

Greedy Greek - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Tried to visit most of the restaurants in main Alykanas, and have to say that Greedy Greek was not the best. The food wasn't too bad, but it was a bit mass-produced. There's far too much on the menu, ranging from Greek to Chinese and Indian - they should stick to producing fewer dishes a bit better. Not an ideal place for young couples either.

Lovely place - ate there three times in one week. Good food and a brilliant head waiter. Very attentive and gave away lots of free wine! Highly recommended.

Mantelena Restaurant - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Very good - lovely mixed meze and spicy spit roasted pork. Service a tiny bit slow, but a good atmosphere and clean. Less on the menu than some restaurants, but good quality instead.

We came back from the Alykanas Beach Apartments last weekend, and as everyone else has already commented, everything was great. The apartments and complex were very clean, everyone was really friendly and attentive, and we had a really good time. The location right by the sea has to be one of the best on the island - I'm never booking a holiday less than 6 feet from the beach again! Plenty to see and excursions to go on, even for a relatively small island. Alykanas isn't the busiest place, but it had plenty of shops and restaurants for our week's holiday. My only criticism would be that they cater a little too much for the English, and you couldn't get away from the World Cup! And as for the airport...!
