Dora Studios - (Accommodation in Argassi)

First comment SUPERB....... Only critisism; Don't go there if you want to cook meals every night ! The self catering facilities are... um ..basic. However, this is not a critism. We never even turned the cooker on. If you are a sad Brit who demands a cooked breakfast...go to Brighton. Doras Apartments are without doubt the best Zante has to offer. There is a magnificent family atmosphere. Dora and her family with the son and cousin duo of Dimitri and Nikos entertaining and mixing the drinks (and music) behind the bar are second to none. The pool area which was inhabited by families was always immaculate and never got overcrowded, even during the peak season of August. My whole family loved every minute of it. We were two adults 32 & 29 and two children of 10 & 8. Don't think twice, go to Doras, you will not regret it.

Ok. the food was very good. That was it. The atmosphere...where was it ? It was similar to eating at a service staion on the M1 (but with good food) Unfortunately, as with all the restaraunts, it was full of British. Either expand your mind and find somewhere like "The Grill" which is tradional Greek cuisine, and only two minutes away, or save yourselve two grand and go down your favourite Harvester. Menu was vast, yet we found the portions off-puting by there shear size.

Food was superb. NO CHIPS...Hooray Service was alright but not brilliant. Choice was good and you could choose anything for the children from the menu at half price. (this was the best we experienced). The food was served in portions that filled everyone and the price was the best we had for what we got.

Red Lion - (Bars in Argassi)

Ok, the only people that went there, went to watch telly/films. The bar was a dive. The staff were slow, the food was um...English. The toilets ...don't bother. The beer and food were very cheap and would accomodate most people on a very, very tight budget, as would the food. You can save yourself a lot of money by going down your local pub and watching Sky. If this pub was in England, no one would go there.
