Louis Plagos Beach Hotel - (Accommodation in Tragaki)

Laura

Wow- What can I say!! Arrived back in the UK today and I'm missing it already! All nine of us thouroughly enjoyed the holiday and the animation team- Andrea, Bas, Rocco and Eveljyn made it that extra bit special! The group of us had ages ranging from 10- 68 and we found ourselves not bored during the day when the team was around!! However, Tragaki is a quiet and small resort and it costs 6 euros to get a taxi to the lively resort of Tsilivi which is just down the road! At the bottom of the road are two freindly beach bars and Ampula beach bar did a great Greek night on friday! There were numerous beach parties on the island during our stay and we attended our local one and it was an amazing night. The holiday was very relaxing and the food superb! The waitors were a laugh and the atmosphere was pretty cool. However, the place could've done with a happy hour as cocktails were 5+ euros each and a little more music could've been played! The bar at the top of the driveway was very reasonable and we enjoyed the happy hours there!! I am 15 and found my self not bored but totaly the opposite! However, if you want to stay in the centre of all the happenings I suggest Tsilivi or Laganas ( which is like Faliraki!) The pool is fairly deep and there are plenty of sunbeds to go around! The local beach is 3 minutes walk and the hotel has it's own jetty into the sea and private sea/ rock area. The locals are freindly and the beach party was class! We met a lot of people who were 14-18 who were staying around the hotel even though there was a lot of younger children there. The animation team did some pretty good shows however, I think it might be quiet if you visit the hotel in September/October time as there will be less people. The rooms were kept clean and the sheets were changed daily! The louge area is a good size. We had a room with a sea view and it was a good size. The reception was immensly sufficent and stayed open 24 hours- when we got back from the beach party at 3 o'clock (am) there was still a guy there! The top 2 beaches were Tsilivi beach and St. Nicholas bay but the local beach was just as good! If you want to relax, have a game of water volley or just a talk with the bar staff and Andrea, Bas, Rocco or Evelyjn, this is the place to be!

Ampoula Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Wow! Was our local beach (we stayed at the Plagos beach hotel) and found this beach very relaxing! However, on entering the sea, there are a few rocks to overcome but after these the water is crystal clear! The local bars are very cheap and freindly and Amboula beach bar did a terrific Greek night on the friday!! The beach party was amazing as well- It was supposed to finish at 2 and when we left it was still going on!! There is shade available and the beach is perfect!

This was our fav. beach on the island. As well as the water sports and volley ball nets, the sea also rose and dropped again which made us able to walk out a very long way! The *life* beach bar serves up massive portions of food which are very cheap!! There was always plenty of sunbeds but if you don't pay then your stuff gets put onto a newspaper! It is a long beach and you can walk for a while!! Not to stony but there are a few pebbles hanging around the place!
