Anyone  planning on  a holiday to Alykes - Zante, I can  personally whole heartedly recomend it.  Lovely typical greek resort, if you want a lively  accomodation go for The Apollo, with the owner Kim Voutos very accomodating if you need anything, fun greek nites ad the famous bar mann dimitris, for a relaxinng quiet and basic accomodationn the seaside studios looking straight on the beach and fabulous views of kefallonia...  The resort has lovely greek restaurannts so forget the weight watchers ladies.. For a lively bar finnd ~Sarah in Cheers who neva lets you go home and send her my love..  If you feel the need for it you even have a lovely chinese.. Plenty bars plenty restaurants your choice and plenty of  it...

Lovely sandy beaches - great for the kids or great for  a quiet holiday..

Make sure you do the jeep safari great value for money, ad a two day triip to Athens is a must, my favourite trip which i didlots was the island  tour - with a difference its on a boat and  you get to swim at smugglers cove too..

This is a lovely place and car hire is a must, please avoid mopeds this is one of the worst places i greece for moped accidents..

I lived in Alykes for 6 months and loved it, i was the first choice rep in 1999.  Having left the job to concentrate on my little boy i am looking at a nice beach holiday for myself, and this is one of my top choices..  Enjoy your stay - and send my love...
