Mermaids - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Anthony M  (23 June 2008)        7/10

Have been going to mermaids for the last 4 years, and I must say each year the standards have gone down.  This could be due to complacency, however we gave it another go this year and was again dissapointed and did not return.

The main issue were the waiting times - we had to wait approx 40 min for our main course (which arrived with burnt rice) and the table next to us were complaining that they had waitied 30 mins for their dessert.
Secondly although the meals are large they are not upto the quality that other establishments provide, yes this could be due to the size of menu that other peiople have mentioned.
Thirdly, why is it that nearly all waitng staff are running around?, the amount of times I have had my chair kicked is unbeleivable.

I agree if you like large portion sizes than this is the place for you, but I now prefer elsewhere.

I hope this is taken as constructive criticism and hope to be proved wrong next year.

This is the best place to eat in Kalamaki, we have have just returned and once again the service, food, and value for money was excellent.

I think Miss/Mrs Birch is slightly biased towards restaurants that provide quantity rather than quality.  Perhaps she requires larger portions.

Went everyday for lunch, very friendly family and waiter, great food, especially the gyros.

Dont forget to tip the waiter so he can buy his Ferrari.
