Amaryllis Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

David G          10/10

We have been to Zante several times and have stayed in different accommodation each time. I can say with all honesty that the Amaryllis was the best accommodation by far. To have your sheets changed at least three times a week, was a joy. Usually you will get a change of bedding every seven days, and to have clean towels every two days exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and spacious and the cleaners managed to manouver around our daughters clothes etc.

If I were to have a criticism then it would be that we would have liked a toaster in the room and it would have been helfpful to have access to a safety deposit box in the room rather than in the main foyer of the hotel.

If you are considering going to Kalamaki then try to stay at the Amaryllis.

Heavens Kitchen - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

David G          2/10

Perhaps they should rename this Hells Kitchen, I think they need Gordon Ramsey to go there. That way you might get your meal.

On walking past it looked very busy, so we decided to give it a try. It turns out that the only reason that it is busy is that people are still waiting for their meals. After waiting for ten minutes we were given a menu, and ordered drinks, ten minutes later they arrived, hot wine and a flat coke. Order food, forty five minutes later we get a free bottle of sprkling wine to make up for the fact that the food has not arrived (after complaining) When the food does arrive they bring the wrong order, I ordered pastitio and got mousaka.

The only thing fast about this place was the bill.
Poor food
Poor service
Poor tourists.
Theye only get 2 for bringing our daughter a fresh coke after complaining about giving her a flat one.
