Cavo Doro Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Well, just got back last night and all I can say is what a poor holiday we have just had. For starters the room was tiny, 2 adults and 1 child with no room to move around. Its all well and good people saying "you only sleep there" er, what about getting changed in the morning or getting ready to go out in the evening? We did not get a kettle in our room, strange when you are self-catering, so we asked our rep. He told us its the way the contracts had been done this year and if we wanted one we would have to hire it...errr no, I don't think so. Our eldest daughter was staying there too in another room on bed and breakfast, they got a kettle and toaster . We used 2 bottles of bleach in the toilet, just to get rid of the (many) previous guests stains and dirt . I guess you can imagine what the cleaning was like, our maid was one of the laziest people we have ever met. Her idea of sweeping the floor was to waive a brush at it from the doorway. The balcony was not swept in the full 2 weeks we were there .

Fantastic people,...no...friends! We went there almost every day for the "special" and a sausage sandwich to take our for our sleepy daughter . We were so sorry to go as they made you feel so welcome . Only been open 12 weeks now but keep it up and McDonald's will have a run for their money!!! We recommend, without doubt, to at least try it once, that's all you will need because you will go back day after day.

Good luck for next year and the refurbishments over the winter, and Wendy, don't forget the toast, or the tea, or the jam etc
