I have been to Zante many times but this holiday turned out to be a holiday from hell.
Arrived on the 4th July and kept waiting at reception for one hour to be allocated a room only then to be told allocated a different room.
I eventually ended up in room 8 which overlooked the swimming pool. The room is quite large and very clean.
The problem with the accommodation is as follows
Could not get a sun bed as holidaymakers who had already arrived kept their towels on the sun bed permanently.
Constant noise from holiday makers and their children all day and all night as children were allowed to run up and down corridors 4.00 am in the morning.
One group of holidaymakers shouting profanities and being abusive to each other 5.00am in the morning.
Food in the snack bar poor and sometimes cooked by a 16-year-old boy.
Drinks of a poor standard.
Rep did not turn up for the welcome meeting.
Paid £80 euro to transfer to other accommodation
When I booked this holiday the brochure said that there may be a little noise disturbance, I expected this to come from the neighbouring bars and clubs and not from fellow holidaymakers, who made me feel ashamed to be British.
If you have booked to stay at the Amaryllis I suggest that you use the pool and bar at the Georgia Apartments across the road, which are perfect.
