The location is a 2min walk from the beach in one direction.  A 10 min walk for the shops, restaurants, bars etc in the opposite direction.

 

The beach is soft sand although due to the turtles nesting there, some parts of the beach (depth ways) is requested not to be used.  Its about 45min/1hr walk along the beach from Kalamaki to Laganas.  The water is very shallow for at least 80m or so, so ideal for children to play in!

 

The hotel is situated 5 mins from airport and planes can be heard throughout the day although prob no more than around 10/12 planes PER day due to the size of the airport!!  My son loved seeing the planes and I can honestly say it wasn't a nuisance at all, hearing them take off/land.

 

The hotel is kept very clean, the pool area is kept very clean.  The staff are very helpful and friendly and speak very good English.  The snack bar serves very good food with a fairly wide range of snacks available including crepes, waffles, aswell as more substantial meals of chicken fillet and chips etc.  Airconditioning is available at the cost of 30 euros per week.

 

The entertainment (what we saw of it) was quite good although my only comment would be that it never started until at least 10pm by which time my son would be exhausted!

 

Other than that I can honestly say that I had a very nice holiday in Zakynthos and would definitely go back there (but only once they've improved the airport which is in the middle of a refurbishment and a bit of a nightmare!!!).
