Al Sandros Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

We stayed in Kalamaki for 2 weeks on our honeymoon in September 2005 and this was our favourite restaurant. The food was excellent with everything freshly made, it was better than home!!I'd definately recommend their spaghetti bolognase and they do excellent deals where you can get two or even three courses for under 7euros!!  The staff were very friendly and you should definately give this one a try.

Cavo Doro Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Natalie T

We stayed at the Cava D'Oro on our honeymoon for two weeks in September 2005. The accomodation was pretty basic, but I'd never stayed in a hotel abroad before, so I didn't have anything to compare it with!Although I must say initially I was very disappointed with the room. The twin beds weren't terribly comfy and the shower wasn't particularly powerful with just a square shower base to stand in in the corner of the bathroom!  My husband said his hotels were better in Ibiza and Tenerife. We did have a toaster and a kettle with plates and a knife, but no cups!!

The one thing I can say though is that it was clean. The maids came in every day; and changed the sheets and towels every other day.
The Cava D'Oro shop was handy and the staff there were very friendly. Harry's bar was a usual lunchtime haunt for us as it was close to the pool and served good, reasonably priced food. We also went to a brilliant Greek night there one sunday for 10euros which included a delicious all you could eat buffet!
If you are just looking for a base to go out from this is perfect, but if you a fancy a bit of luxury, choose somewhere else!!
