Olive Tree Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Claire R

As both my partner and I are vegetarian we do sometimes experience problems finding food that we like when we are on holiday.  There was no such problem at the Olive Tree.  We ate there 3 times in 2 weeks, even though we were staying at the other side of the resort, and I had a different meal each time.  My favourite was the stuffed vine leaves with cheese, although the pata giardino and veggie burrito were just as nice.  Be warned thugh, the meals are on the large side (most will consider that a good thing, no doubt!).

The waiters were extemely friendly, if a little slow.  But, we were on our hols, and weren't in a hurry any way.  What is really nice is when you go back a second time they remember you, and are even more friendly!  And they are reasonably priced.

Al Sandros Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Claire R  (17 September 2005)

Al Sandros is such a chilled out bar, and the staff are really friendly.  This is located right by our apartments, but we didn't really notice Al Sandros until a few days into our holiday, as we used to venture out in to the main strip of bars, and we quickly got bored of these!  After that we went in there most nights.

While the bar was usually busy, it managed to maintain a chilled out and friendly vibe.  On the whole the music was pretty good, apart from the odd Bon Jovi track, but I can forgive them for that because they played RYAN ADAMS!!  Live music with Dr Allen was cool; Black Magic Woman, what a tune! We never took part in any of the quizzes, and I'm gutted about that and not even sure how we missed them.

If I ever go back to Kalamaki, which I probably will, I will definately pay Al Sandros a visit.  And the dog was well cute!
