Myself and my two children aged 10 and 12 have just returned from two fantastic weeks at the Apollo Studios in Alykes.  As previous comments the rooms are basic but clean.  Our towels and bedding were changed on a regular basis in the two weeks and we never had a problem with them at all.  We loved the atmosphere at the apollo and my biggest problem was dragging the children away from the pool as they made so many friends and wanted to spend all their time there.  Colin was great with the children and he was another reason they loved the pool as they tried very hard to get him in the water. A good way of getting around the island is through Colin which gives you more flexibility with timings and where you want to go.  The food is great in the pool bar and especially so in the taverna. We hired a fan and safety deposit box from the apollo and travellers cheques can be cashed comission free at Montes supermarket.  It is a quiet, peaceful and beautiful location which I would recommend to anyone. There is that saying you can please some of the people some of the time but never all of the people all of the time.  I hope I have helped to allay some of the fears but when you think of the majority of the comments on this site as being very favourable surely that should say it all. Have a great time we wish we were still there.......... 

Katherine Brown-Is that Abbies mum?  This is Carys and Erins mum and we have also booked to go back to the Apollo next year.  We're going on the 15th August for two weeks and we can't wait either though it seems a long way off.  Will you all be there around that time as the girls would love to meet up with your two again.
