our second year to alykanas.  we found jam-in music bar the first time round and spent most nights there because of the warm and friendly welcome to sam and myself.  when we arrived again in june this year spiros and his family welcomed us with open arms once again.  spiros and lukas are top barmen and sam sends a special hello to lukas.  sorry we didn't make it to say goodbye on our last night.  would just like to say a special thank you to spiros for the great day on the jeep safari an experience i will never forget.  we are coming back on 25th august for a week (not october) so we will see you then.  lots of luv from steph and sam xxxx

The Taj Mahall is the best restaurant in Alykes.  The authentic decor is fantastic and a pleasure to look at.  The food.... well what can I say but 'excellent'.  We didn't try the restaurant until the last couple of nights of our holiday but wished we'd tried it earlier.  We had indian one night and chinese on our last night (you can mix the two if you fancy).  The crispy duck is to die for (although this wasn't my meal I kept pinching some because it was so delicious).  The red wine is morish and my glass never ran dry.  I would like to say thank you to the Marinos family for making us so very welcome and a special big hug and kiss for Antonis for looking after us.  We will be back on the 25th August and are so looking forward to sampling your marvellous cuisine (oh and wine) once again.
