We visited Zante last August, and we ate at the Dias Restuarant twice.

The 1st night was absolutely top notch, the food was exceptional, as was the service, particularly for my dad, hes a veggie and they had a meat special on, (Think it was a Meze type thing), and they said no problem, and brought out a massive plate full of all sorts of stuff for him, in place of the meat - superb.

Second night, food was the same quality, but we had a hell of a long wait for everything, they said this was due to a staff member which I can fully sympathise with, and the restaurant was extremely busy, so we could except it.

Going back to Zante in August - staying at the Roseland Hotel - cant wait!!

Stayed here last August with First Choice, absolutely loved it, apartments were extremely clean, with good facilities and friendly staff. Rooms had TV,fridge etc etc, all you need on a holiday!

Also loved Kalamaki - loved sitting on the beach with the planes coming over your head :D.

Going back this August - cant wait, with Thomson at the Roseland Hotel, only reason we are not going to Amaryllis is because the Roseland is only slightly more expensive than the Amaryllis, and its B&B, and also we can fly from our local airport with Thomson (Leeds Bradford), instead of trailing with First Choice (Manchester).

Anyone going here will have a fab time :).

I think people on this website should remember that you are always going to get people who moan no matter how good something is, and to respect their opinions.

I personally returned from Kalamaki just this Monday, and I think the fact we ate at the Mermaids 3 times speaks for itself. What a superb place, The Greek Meatballs were just fantastic, and unfortunately, I couldnt resist having them twice! I also had the Chicken with BBQ sauce, bacon and chesse, and this was just perfectly cooked, and tasted wonderful. I also love the way everything is presented, the plates they use are just so fancy!

Regarding been rushed, we were never rushed, despite the place been absolutely chokka everytime we visited, and I think people should respect that a restaurant as good and popular as this is going to become full, we helped them out by finishing our drinks in the Club Soda next door, which also had very friendly staff.

The person moaning about what was discussed at nearby tables made me laugh, what are the staff supposed to about it? Come on!

Overall a fantastic restaurant, and a fantastic holiday.
