Dias - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Well, after reading so many good reviews on this restaurant it was at the top of our list to visit whilst on holiday. I can assure you it soon went to the bottom of our list!!. After 45 minutes from ordering we were 2 very hungry people and asked the waiter if our starters were on the way, he said he would find out but we never saw him again!. 10 minutes later another waiter arrived and apologised for the delay but had our main meals..still no starters!. We told him we hadnt even had our starters and were appalled by the fact that we had already chased one waiter 10 minutes previous, so off he went to find out what was going on. They did bring our starters 5 minutes after which I would give 8/10. I had spicy meatballs and my partner had local spicy sausage but the let down was the main meal. The meals were quite clearly the same main meals they had brought 20 minutes previous, and must have put them in the microwave to over cook them even more than they already had. My Lamb chops in Garlic sauce were as tough as you could possibly imagine and the garlic sauce was like jelly, my partners steak however was tasty but by the time it hd been reheated it was a very well done steak rather than the medium steak which he had originally ordered. The only consolation for this terrible visit to Dias was that we were given a free bottle of wine. Shame we had such a bad time here because it sound like everyone else has had great meals!.

Escape - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

On our first night out in Kalamaki we chose Escape so as we could sample some typlical greek food. My partner had stuffed vine leaves to start, and Lamb kleftiko for main. I had prawns in garlic sauce, and Beef Stifaldo. Both the starters and the main meal were very tasty and the service was very good too. It had a nice romantic setting so perfect for couples.

Zakanthi - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

After walking past this restaurant several times it was the romantic setting which attracted us to eat here. I must say though I left feeling a little disappointed. Firstly, we ordered a bottle of wine and had to ask 3 waiters where it was, 20 minutes later it finally arrived and secondly, the menu had very little choice. My partner had pate to start and Lamb platter and cous cous for main, and I had bbq ribs to start and Beef in Tomato and Basil for main, the beef was over cooked and dry but everything else was nice. This was the most expensive restaurants we ate at and we had much better meals elsewhere at half the price.
