We first visited Argassi in 1991 and fell in love with the place - we have now been back 12 times since and each time we always head straight for the "GREEN FROG" whereby you can guarantee on getting excellent food, drink and brilliant evening entertainment. Nikos, the owner is a double for John Conti, and he owns a boat!!!!!!

Since 1992 my husband and I have visiting Argassi and we are still visiting after all these years. Infact we have only just returned dated 23rd May 2005 after a 2 week vacation.
The Hotel that I would personally recommend is Hotel CONTESSA - the staff are extremely friendly and all speak excellent English. The swimming pool is set in a truly relaxing location of the Hotel, which allows you peace, quiet and away from traffic - this is also lit-up at night (good for photographs at night). The hotel rooms have adequate space and are expectionally clean with CARPETS throughout (this I have never seen before abroad).
In the evening's you can take yourself to the Hotel Bar, whereby you will be met by Anthony a good looking Head Bar Person (aged 29 years and again speaks excellent English), and after your evening out you can return to the Hotel Bar for a relaxing nightcap or alcohlic beverage before surrending yourself to bed.
SHOULD YOU WISH FOR A TRULY UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY, THEN PLEASE BELIEVE ME THIS IS THE BEST HOTEL IN ARGASSI. IF YOUR HOLIDAY STARTS IN SEPTEMBER AND YOU VISIT HOTEL CONTESSA THEN LOOK OUT FOR ME BECAUSE, YES MY HUSBAND & I ARE RETURNING YET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

If you are after a brilliant holiday along with a brilliant, clean and very friendly Hotel then look no more that Hotel CONTESSA in Argassi, Zakynthos.
This is my first time in Argassi and I was very impressed with the position of the Hotel, the cleanliness and the very friendly staff. I would DEFINATELY go back.
