Peter, we are booked to go to the Sirene Apts also through Manos, but I have not heard that they have cancelled the contract. How did you find out? When were you due to travel? Sorry I cant help with Rainbow Apts.

Pete, you can find the rainbow in any Manos book. It does not have a pool. Good luck!

The appartments are very basic, as you would expect in Greece. However, we did expect some cooking utensils in the kitchen as it is a self catereing holiday. Even if it was explained before we arrived, we could have brought our own. What is the point going on a self catering holiday (for five) when there are no self catering facilities? Our Manos rep even told us that this is deliberate in order to get you to eat at the snack bar, which was reasonable, or at the other local eateries. The noise from the cockrel can be bad if you are a light sleeper and depending on the area of the hotel you are. Gregory, the manager, was hot and cold, some days sociable and other days not so, I even had to tell him not to manhandle my son from the sofa, but to tell me if he was not happy with him. Our kids loved the holiday as there were so many other kids there. The weather was really hot and walking the 20 mins to the main resort every day would be tiring, we had a jeep so we were lucky. Not the best holiday ever but we did meet lots of great people who in reality done more than anyone to make the holiday. A great bunch of people, lots of whom we have kept in touch with, hope anyone going has our luck `cos you`ll need it. Hi to Reacheal Coulter and her family, though I dont agree with her about Greg! Not my type at all! We also fount that the euro has put prices up to double on some things. Small coke is e1.50, pint of lager e2.50, breakfast e4.00, half pizza e2.50, ice lollies e1.50, token for pool e2.00(£1.30, too mutch), Smirnoff ice etc e3.00 and all spirits e3.00(£2.00 for a resonable measure), air con for two weeks e84.00. While we enjoyed the Sirene we would not go back, we love Greece but feel that the euro is spoiling half the reason we went in the first place. Good luck to anyone going, and hope you catch Greg in a good mood
