We just arrived back after spending a week at The Marelen. We thought there was room for improvement to the breakfast and the dinning facilities the flies were a B****y pain in the butt, and those darned Cats.............!! I suggest they do away with the breakfast and just have Self Catering!! We were impreesed with the complex itself it was well looked after and clean like the rooms clean towels and bed linnen 5 days out of 7 must take some beating! Didn't think much of Kalamaki a bit of a one horse town. Tried The Mermaids once and that was enough, what people saw in that I don't know, The Chives Restaurant with the Roof Top dinning area was worth a visit. We took a cab to Laganas and had a meal at the China Town, eat as much as you like for 9.90euro,just dont think about it !!!!!!!the starters were ok but the rest was like, well like ????? just dont do it !! We consoled ourselves at The Pink Panther Bar, had a great night dead cheap must be the cheapest in Zante, got well p....d and I think Tracy has the best Bum in Langans!! Will we go to Kalamki again I dont think So, been once thats enough.

With Reference to your question about aircraft noise, Lorraine you do get quite a bit of noise but you dont tend to notice it after a while I actually liked to see the planes coming in to land so I may be a bit biased!! I must also addmitt we were there late season.
