Cavo Doro Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Hello, we stayed in Cavo D'oro studios from 9th May to 16th May and it was fantastic. The room was small but to be honest we werent staying there much, only sleeping! The staff were pretty friendly including Akis who was brilliant,he really made us feel welcome. Say hi to him for me. The beach is lovely, and the resruraunt next door, Chives, was superb with really friendly staff. The pool bar also serves very nice food too. The hotel is undergoing improvements at the moment so dont expect luxury, we had a small problem with hot water but they sorted it very quickly. I would relly advise the Rescue club in Laganas for one of your night out stops, it was brilliant! Altogether a fantastic holiday, really sad to leave but will definitely be going again.

Hi Chris, we came back two weeks agao. The prices are very good on most items, including day to day shopping. The only thing we found expensive was stuff like chocolates, magazines and papers and drinks or cocktails in Laganas. And yes Labis is still at the pool bar :).

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

We went to Kalamaki in May and tried the island cruise through our Airtours rep. It was quite expensive, 56 euros for both of us. The trip was ok until we got the the north tip of the island where the weather just changed all of a sudden. Unfortunately we werent able to land at smugglers cove and had to turn around. We did stop at the blue caves though and had a swim off the boat which made it all worth while. We also stopped at a really nice beach. If the thought of tropical fish swimming around your ankles sounds good then do this trip. But then again the weather is supposed to be rough quite often on the other side of the island so if you get seasick, you might not want to do this one.
