Redskins Bar - (Bars in Alykanas)

Mal W

Dimitri can talk for hours about anything! His 18 months national service qualified him as a chef, paramedic, engineer ect.ect. Ask him about his new pillow! What he thinks about german women! But,his healthy measures of spirit, liberal use of cocktail cherries, make Redskins worth a visit!

Stani - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Mal W

We have been visiting Stanis (not Stania) for 6 years. The family are very friendly and helpful. The fish soup and lamb kleftico cannot be beaten ! The view is soothing in the day, atmosphere romantic by night. Can't wait for next year !

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Mal W

Food blissful and those waiters !!!! You must check it out!

Zakanthi - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Mal W

Have pate as a starter, it's melt in the mouth delicious. Service can be slow, but it gives you the chance to savour the evening. The "strange curly things" the waiters light are mozzie killers-to ensure you aren't chewed whilst enjoying your meal!

Psarapoula Lemon Tree - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Mal W

Lovely place to sit on a pleasant evening. Beware if the wind is blowing, some of the drains aren't too sweet! Alicia -folk singer/musician plays here,"Mary Hopkin" type voice, quite pleasant. Food can be excellent or average! Maybe it depends on the wind!

Alykanas Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Mal W

This beach is a secret !! Don,t tell everyone !! The snorkling is good too.

Metaxa Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Mal W

Metaxa is as lovely as ever, but the building work is just the other side of the lane ! We were in Kalamaki in late May and the building work has really spoilt that quiet corner

Apollo Restaurant - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Mal W

Kim (the owner) of "Island of Dreams" fame, has a warm welcome for everyone. The menu is very extensive, lots of scrummy sauces, huge portions!Nice quiet corner of the resort too,so conversation doesn't have to compete with the bars.
