| Just got back, and after reading the comments here was really worried what i had booked us in to. Don't know what all the fuss ia about. found the apartment (204) to be perfectly acceptable, pretty much on a par with any greek self catering apartments. Marietta was lovely and the cleaners were in every other day (more than any other apts i hacve stayed in). Thought the location was good, pretty much in the middle of the beach and the main road, so not far to go to anything. Only complaint would be if you are in the ground floor rooms, don't slam the doors!!!!! | ||||||||||

| Just got back from two weeks in Tsilivi. Second time at Marietta and I have to say that although our ground floor apartment was "bigger" than the first floor studio we stayed in last time, it wasn't as clean or in such good repair. Found the area OK for noise - Our babies (when they weren't screaming) managed to sleep through the noise from nearby bars but were occasionally awoken by next door's noisy fridge! Generally had a great holiday but with so many brand new apartments, with air-con as standard and better self-catering facilities going up by the day, Marietta will have to modernise (and I don't just mean a coat of paint) or it will soon struggle to keep it's tour operator - I defended Marietta before, but with better accommodation (for the same money) elsewhere, I wouldn't stay there again! | ||||||||||

| JUST RETURNED FROM OUR FORTNIGHT STAYING HERE AT THE MARIETTA. ACCOMMODATION TYPICALLY GREEK PLAIN AND SIMPLE WHICH WAS FINE. VERY NOISY AREA (ALAMIS AND OTHER BARS PLAYED QUITE LOUD MUSIC, SUPPOSED TO BE TURNED DOWN AT MIDNIGHT, BUT COULD STILL HEAR IT. ALSO UNFORTUNATELY THE WALLS ARE VERY(very) THIN AND CAN HEAR PEOPLE TALKING NEXT DOOR VERY CLEARLY. OUR CHILDREN COULDNT GET MUCH SLEEP WITH THE NOISY FRIDGE AS WELL AS A FEW SCREAMING BABIES FROM VERY NEARBY ROOMS. ALL IN ALL GLAD TO GET HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||||||||||

| I'd like to reassure Jeat Preece (March 07 2003) about Marietta. Some of the comments made here are, I think, a little harsh. Myself, my wife and our 18 month daughter stayed at Marietta 2 years ago with no problems that couldn't be sorted by asking. We are going back to Tsilivi in June 2003 and are staying at Marietta again. This time not only with our daughter (who is now four) but with our 11 month old twins. We certainly would not be doing that if it was no suitable. We found Marietta (the owner) to be pleasant enough, she always showed us her gratitude, was helpful with requests concerning the accommodation (extra toilet rolls, linen, towels etc) when asked and was charming towards our little girl. She wasn't so accommodating, I seem to remember, towards the loud, unruly, rude group that stayed in the apartment below us. It must be the way you treat people, I guess. We have been holidaying throughout greece for 12 years now (Skiathos, Zante (3 times), Corfu, Crete, Skopolos and Rhodes) and would say that Marietta is typical package holiday accommodation, no better , no worse. It is clean, has a basic kitchen and beds with fresh linen. If you want more – pay for it. | ||||||||||

| Myself, my partner and our 11-year old son stayed at Marietta in August 2002. The apartments were basic but equipped with a fridge, kettle and quite a dodgy cooker! (I think it worked on greek time!)We stayed on the 2nd floor in room 103, the only problem was that the towels and sheets needed changing more often & we had to buy our own toilet roll! Excellent location, close to beach and restaurants etc. We would stay there again. There are fans for hire, but they are tiny, and don't do much in the heat of august! | ||||||||||

| self husband and 3 year old were in a room on the second floor. no cups or cutlery and 1 bowl when we arrived we eventually got more on day 3. The beds were really hard and pillows were lumpy but the camp bed was awful. It dipped so much in the middle she had put a piece of carpet under the mattress. The fridge was so noisy we unplugged it every night! Kicked out of the room at 11am on the last day and when i asked Marietta if there was a courtesy room to shower/change in later you would have thought i had sworn at her. Tsilivi is ok but please don't good money on these apartments They're the worst Ive stayed in | ||||||||||

| Hi Louise yes we enjoyed all the space when you left and we hotfooted into room 102 unfortunatly you also took the weather with you and we had a pretty grim last week. We spent much of it avoiding the dragon Marietta who had the fit when we meekly requested fresh towels and bedding and just as you warned the beds were truly appalling me being on the squeaky one with the mega lumpy pillow. I dont think I'd rush back there certainly not to those apartments anyway alright as a one off though. Love to the kids and i'm looking forward to my bed tonight. Love Fiona | ||||||||||
