Angela Studios(Apartments in None) |

| Again like other people on this site, my female friend and I were a bit apprehensive at having booked with Golden Sun to to stay in such badly revued accommodation. But really all in all, it wasn't that bad. No way was it the Ritz, but for £200 what do you expect. We were in Room 3. The linen was changed 3 times in the week we were there. No toilet paper was provided after the first batch ran out, but hey, there are worst things that can happen. Perhaps it was the time of year, end of Sept, but we had no problems with hornets or wasps in the room or anything. All our self-catering needs were met - ie there were enough crockery and cutlery for the 2 of us. I would agree that some of the fittings were alittle risky - ie the handles of the wardrobe were fixed with too long a screw and that scrathed me a couple of times. Stuff that would definately get a look at in a UK place. But nothing to really be up in arms about. At night, take a torch or a reflector and don't walk back from town alone, especially if you're female. The apartments are on a road that gets quite busy in the daytime and it seems to be a bit of a rat-run at night, so you need to be careful. I wouldn't have liked to have had children to look out for if we were staying here. The walk to the beach was about a 30 min stroll through town - more chances for shopping(?) - and to the main road into town, your nearest restaurant (Mataxi Mas Taverna) or bar(Sandra's bar), it's 7 - 10 mins. You can use any of the pools at any of the hotels or apartments, which is great and again, the nearest ones The Park Hotel or the Paxos Apartments is a 7 - 10 min walk from the Angela. A holiday is what you make of it and you shouldn't be in your accommodation that much anyhow - don't you think? | ||||||||||

| So, after reading all the comments on this page, We didn't want to go, we wanted to cancel but we would have lost the cost of the holiday. Unfortunately our fears were affirmed we were in room 9. BEWARE!!!!!! We found the room to be unsafe and dangerous, there was only one light working out of the four provided, one of the fixtures was hanging off the wall, broken plug sockets,(half the safety casing was missing), the roof leaked during a storm on to the only usable socket and the shutters were broken which didn't shut the mosquitos or the rain or the wasps out very well at all. For self catering accommodation it was found to be inadequate, we only had one cerial bowl, which we found was a fairly common problem, This wouldn't have bothered us but then we found that there was only one knife but four forks?!? When we reported this to the rep Sam, she was very unhelpful and patronising, was told that the problems would be fixed as far as possible but they weren't, we did ask to be moved, but was told that this wasn't possible. The location setting is nice but the brochure was misleading, These apartments are a good walk from tsilivi down very dangerous road, especially at night! Good Luck! | ||||||||||

| Me and my girlfriend went to Zante on the 10th august, i read previous comments and was not looking forward to staying in the Angela studios. When we arrived we were in room six, first impressions were better than before. we had the toilet window open as it was baking, i woke to the sound of deep buzzzing went in the bathroom and found 5 HUDGE Hornets inside the window, i had to keep this closed for the duration of the week we were there, i found the cleanliness terrible, i am a cypriot myself so understand what the greeks are like but this was poor, as me an my girlfriend had serious stomach upsets this can be uncomfortable especially when u run out of loo roll and they do not replace this!! no fans so we had to keep the balcony door open which invites every mozzie in zante to have a o on you!! location was ok didnt mind the walking, quitness was good apart from the damm dog barking at every movement, loo roll bin got emtied twice!! but i did like zante just not the accomodation!! would go back! Oh yer the airport is an experience!! | ||||||||||

| After reading previous comments on this site about the accommodation I wanted to cancel my holiday. But it really wasn't so bad. Yes it is away from the main nightlife, least you don't get music booming until the small hours. The apartments were cleaned three times within the week we were there. Not recommended for girls on their own to walk the road at night but it was ok, take a torch so that cars can see you. | ||||||||||

| Went to Zante on August 3rd for 1 week. I had read the comments from previous travellers concerning Angela Studios, but thought they can't be that bad. Well, on arrival there is no reception, the rep tells you which room you are in and leaves you to it. My friend and I were in room 16 which must have been the smallest room they have. There are no fans, so we had to hire one. The sheets and towels were full of holes, which we mentioned to our rep Sam on the Monday nothing was done until the Thursday when new sheets and towels were left, which were nearly in the same condition. The room was never cleaned and the bins emptied twice in 1 week. The roads are treacherous, its a long walk to the centre of town and the beach is a good 20 minute walk each way. Each day we spent time around the pool at the Hotel Planos, really clean and very helpful staff especially Stefanos. The people are lovely, really friendly and the bars and restaurants are plentiful. I would go to Zante again, but I would have to check out the accommodation fully before I booked. One last thing, the airport is a joke. We were delayed going home and the airport was full. There was nowhere to sit and I had to stand for over 2 hours. Consequently I am off work now with a bad back, which is really ironic as I have just had my vacation! | ||||||||||

| just back from angela studios number room 17, very basic, had to clean out the shower head as it only had 2 jets of water comming out of it and also the tap i think the waters very hard, it is too far from the town and the road is unlit and has no pavement, going in is ok but at night it costs 5 euros by cab or you could get killed, the walk to the beach took us past the zante star hotel and came out at the cheap end of the beach, on the way back we would go into the hotel and have a cool drink, we were thrown out at noon so took our hand luggage to the zante star and ate there and they have showers and changing rooms under the hotel which we used, we made a misstake of letting our golden sun ticket show and they didnt like us being there, but we had spent money there and they coulnd do anything about it,The best bit about the holiday was LIFE TIME BEACH BAR,grandma would take our 6 eros and we would lie on the beds( opposite the volley ball net in the sea) and at lunch time would eat in the bar , at night it was a lovely place to go for the cool breeze and of course a drink(thanks dennis stravopodis),the airport is a joke on the out journey, dont even ask about the smoking room , i dont but my wife does and she walked in took two gulps of air and that was her quota for a month, loved the resort and its many bars the beach we even ventured round the headland to find another two beaches not as good as tsliivi beach , in all a good resort but the accomadation was too far off the beaten track. | ||||||||||

| The Angela were nice enough studios, but they are a fair trek from the centre and the beach which would put me off staying here again. The road back is dangerous at night and I got a taxi most nights, which I dont usually do in Tsilivi. The rooms weren't cleaned often enough which also meant linen wasnt changed, and we did have to check out at 12 and wait 15 hrs to be picked up, but you find this anywhere really! | ||||||||||

| The location was the worst thing about these apartments, walking home at night was perilous along winding country lanes that were dimly lit. However, this was not the only negative point I can mention about these apartments; the room was cleaned once this meant that the waste bin in the bathroom was only emptied once!!! The water went off a few times during our stay. There was no reception so basically if you had a problem you had to grin and bare it. On our last day we had to check out at 11am (our flight was the next day at 6am in the morning) we asked to pay to keep our room on until 6pm and the owners refused on account that room needed to be cleaned before the next guests arrived. There was no secure place to leave our luggage but our rep said that we could have a shower in a room outside the apartment block after our day at the pool...the owners then locked this! I would recommend anyone to go and stay in Tsivili as it is one of the nicest resorts I have ever visited, however, avoid the Angela Studios at all cost because staying there almost ruined our holiday! | ||||||||||
