12 lads from shrewsbury arrived on 11th june for a week and had the best time ever

'GEORGE' is a diamond geezer who let us get away with murder...including shaving two blokes heads when they were ko'd at night...oops!!

This hotel is so layed back and is the perfect place to stay for a young group of people

BUT...the worst part is having to leave...its gutting!

Only just found this site, 7 of us from London/Essex stayed in the Gioie from 25th August until 1st September 2006 & what a week it was. I can see nearly everyone has praised George & 'Stan', I always thought it was 'Stam' personally, but they are both legends!!! Anyone remember Spiros? The Greek manager guy who could not speak a word of English??? My mate asked him if he wanted a fag but Spiros did not have a clue what he was saying so my mate put his hand in his pocket to get his fags out & he only pulled out a condom by mistake... I bet that got Spiros worried!!!

Stan and george are really tidy guys.Hotels basic, but all you need for a crazy week. Lets get naked!

We stayed in the gioie 2 weeks ago it was great!!! we saw those boys from Cambridge breaking the fishbowl record WELL DONE U LOT!! Stan is a legend!! Missing it allready.

 Went to the Gioie De Mare in July 1999, it was a fantastic place, excellent service and very clean, i have just heard that it has been extended since i last went and it is under new management. I cant wait to go back at the end of august 2006.

Helllo!!!

We had a mint time at the Gioie de Mare, was fanatastic even though we went near the end of October, it was still a blast for us, we were nearly the youngest there during that time.  The only part that was bad was the unexpecting earthquake.  But George handled it very well and thanks to him i am most likely to come back to Laganas at this hotel.

 

Its a good idea with the book to sign before going home, leaving our mad comments. Also people watch out for the dirty doughnut man he jips you!!

Wooo just booked our holiday for 2006 and cannot wait to get out to Zante! heard it's a brill place with good nightlife which is what we're looking 4! Anyone else going at the beginning of August!?

Hey There, we stayed at the Gioie from 8th Aug - 15th Aug, i would def say its the best hotel in Lagana!! The location is great, cant beat being opposite McD's, and next to KFC, Pizza Hut & near Cherry Bay!!  We would def recommend staying here, as its right in the middle of everything and the staff (George - thanks for letting us have the pool parties) are brilliant!!! We had a great holiday, loved Cocktails & Dreams & Cherry Bay, long live the Baywatch theme tune!! We met some fantastic people as well, so here is a quick hello to Pete, Ronnie, Brad, Matty B, Pete Tong, Jim, Dansak, Jay, Neil (Rep), Michelle, Zara, Kelly, Colleen, Gary, Luke, Rob, Akos, Sal, Chris, Ben & Andreous, you were all brilliant, and keep in touch!!!
