Delfini I and II(Apartments in Laganas) |
Just back from two weeks in Laganas, staying at the Zante D'Oro. Saw Dimitri at the Delfini when we came off the bus, and he explained to us that he is now using a Czech tour operator, or Fidelity Travel. Not a big surprise really, although disappointing for us, as we would go back to these apartments every year.

Thanks Rosie. Our travel agent told us that Manos have not renewed their contract with Delfini for next year. ( Can't understand why ? ) She browsed her database and couldn't find them linked with any other company for next summer. We had no option but to book another apartment, and luckily we've managed to get into Zante D'Oro. It'll be a wrench sitting on the balcony across the road from the Delfini, knowing we'd rather be there, but can't get in !!!
Please let us know if you hear any more. Thanks.

MY FAMILY HAS STAYED HERE SINCE 1999 AND BECOME VERY GOOD FREINDS OF DIMITRIS AND MARIA. EVEN EXCHANGING XMAS CARDS. I ALWAYS BOOK WITH THEM PRIVATE AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS DOING THIS. THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND I ONLY WISH THEY WERE NOT SURROUNDED BY ALL THE 20S AND 18-30S. NOW JIMMYS HAVE GONE 18-30S AS WELL I ONLY HOPE DIMITRIS AND MARIAS LOVELY LITTLE BUISENESS WILL SURVIVE. I WISH THEM ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD, THEY WILL NEED IT PEAK SEASON!

| Hello Jason, We just book with our local travel agent who always looks after us. However, if you go on to Manos's website, you'll get a good deal without the middleman. As you say, the owners don't speak too much English, so not much hope in trying to book with them direct ! Hope this helps. | |

| hi Mr Banff
how did you book to go back to the delfini, was it just with the tour operators or did you do it another way. the only reason i ask is i stayed there the other year and will like to go back again. loved its location and the people who ran it even if little english was spoken.
:)

| We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Laganas. We have 2 children and we stayed at the Delfini Studios and I can honestly say we had excellent service from the family and staff who run the apartments.
Sure there is noise from the early morning drunks but that never lasts too long and you have double glazing to close them out. Location is ideal, the pool at Jimmys is clean and modern and the beach is just a couple of minutes walk
If you are the type who looks for problems and want to moan about this and that then you should not come to Greece!!
However if you want a safe base to come back to every day then go to stay at the Delfini.

Recently stayed here for 1 week with my boyfriend. It was ok, but not planning on returning. The apartment was in a good location as it was close to the beach and approximately 5min walk from the main strip of bars. This is good because you can have a wild night or a quiet night, depending on how you are feeling. The only real bad thing about the location was that there is an 18-30's hotel directly opposite. So if you are staying here don't expect to get any sleep between 4:30 - 7:30 am. Although, you will be fine if your plan on joining them or if you are a deep sleeper. On the whole the apartment was ok; however I don't think that I would recommend it to anyone! We were quite lucky as we landed ourselves a 2 bedroom apartment, which was good as we could sleep in the back room when the noise became too loud out the front. The cleaner visited almost everyday, although I'm not sure what she did could be classed as cleaning! She simply swept/mopped the floor, folded up the bed sheet (but never changed it) and opened the bathroom window. A little piece of advice for any girls planning on staying here 'Take your own towels for the shower' (In addition to your beach towels) You will need them! The towels provided were very old and were not changed throughout our stay. Warning to the boys 'Stock up on toilet roll', because once you have used the first roll you don't get anymore! Believe me, you will need it if you are planning on drinking the local spirits and free shots.
Although there is no swimming pool at the Delfini, I would suggest that you use Jimmy's, which is opposite the apartments. If you get a chance go on the all day boat trip that takes you around the Island. Smugglers Cove (Shipwreck) is amazing! If you are looking for a good place to eat try Georgios. The food is great. It is located on a road leading off the main strip. Just head away from the beach, turn right at the Ionian Sea restaurant, it is a little way upon the left-hand side. It's well worth a visit.
Warning to anyone who is thinking of staying in Savvas apartments DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends and their boyfriends were staying there and 1 couple had to go home a week early because they were so ill. 1 of my other friends was ill for 3 days and my boyfriend spent an entire day and night ill in the apartments after using their pool and eating from savvas pool bar. Just read the comments written about Savvas for more information and steer clear!
Oh, before I forget, look forward to the experience of Zante airport!!!!!!! ![]()

had a great 2 weeks stay here, appertment was basic as are most in greece. it was cleaned every day and thats more than alot of places i have stayed (lucky if its done every other day) the owners did not speak alot of english but did try where verry polite and friendly. sometimes we did miss the hot water but then thats what you get when its solar powerd and come in late when everyones run it off. was a great location to the beach and main strip but can hear a little noise when its busy over the road at the 18 to 30 appartments

On arrival we were shown straight to our room which was clean. Demitri and Maria, although didnt speak much english were friendly and helpful. The apartment was cleaned every day and the bedding and towels changed once a week. The apartments were close to the beach and a 5 min walk from the main strip so not far to stagger hom.All in all we couldnt have asked for more. ![]()
