| Well on most of these reviews, I thought it was going to be a nightmare holiday. I was wrong, Having been well adversed on greek Islands now, the apartment was no worse or better than what I expected When looking for apartments in Greece you must remember that the Greeks have a much more basic life style than we do. I liked the location as it was far enough away from the bars that you could have a quiet night if you wanted, and not too far away from the bars and clubs if you wanted a mad one (when i went to Kos the year before, the apartments were sitting on top of bar street. You just could'nt get away from it) Zero's was my fav bar there. All on all not a bad holiday | ||||||||||

| My boyfriend and i have just stayed in the astria for two weeeks first of all to those peple who are going to bestaying there its not that bad,its a block of 8 basic apartments ours was cleaned 4 times in two weeks.The noise you can here are chickens but its cool.Its in amn ideal spot looking across the sea.its only a 10 minute walk across the beach to get to clubs ,bars resturant and shops etc but you are not right in the middle of it. Tip 1-bring lots of misquto repellent(we got badly bitten) tip 2-dont leave your flip flops out the front as mine got stolen tip 3- please say hi to the owners for us (they are ok) tip 4 have a bogie in the rescue bar(its cool and if you like coctails try ps i love u) tip 5 have a great time hope this has been of some help please let me know | ||||||||||

| Have just got back from staying at the Astoria. What can I say....Three ***? Give me a break. Dan (my boyfriend) and I reckon more 1 or 2 at a push. The cleaniness is appauling, the apartment was cleaned once during the week and the towels are the size of flannels. The chairs in the room were plastic and very unsafe, the picnic table was such that I havn't seen one like that since my family holidays 10 years ago! The wardrobe was such that Dan and I lived out of the suitcase for the week. The bleeding cockadoodle doo's from the chickens drove us insane. Dan was ill for 2 days with a fluey thing - not that surprising after the cleaniness problem. The fan that we rented from them didn't work, so we had a sleepless night from the amount of mosquitoes that found there way into the room (the rooms are so hot that you have to sleep with the doors open). The 'reception' was the house that 2 generations of owners lived in and when it comes to leaving your luggage, if like us you had 5 hours between checkout time (midday) and the coach pickup time, you leave it outside their house! On the up side (there are some!) the location is actually fairly good. It is quiet, apart from the animals, and the bars are about a 10 minute walk away along the beach and there are supermarkets are all very close (although I wouldn't recommend cooking anything in the kitchen). A pool offering free sunloungers and good food and drink is about 3 minutes walk away along the beach. So the location is good. I would recommend it to groups of party goers (although the rooms are small) who are not planning on spending anytime at the apartmenrt, and not to couples! It didn't ruin our holiday...but it was a severe dampener. | ||||||||||

| What a complete s**t tip! A real holiday from hell job. Nothing worked at all. We could only stay one night and that was enough. If you say here longer than that you deserve a medal. The beach would be better. GOD HELP YOU! | ||||||||||

| Stayed 1/9-8/9/02. Room 5 - awful - nasty view of the caravan and noisy chickens, cockerbleedindoo! every day just as we were getting to sleep! In case of fire, dont use the upstairs Fire Extinguisher - its empty - oops! Crazy Albanian Cleaner - very odd! Room only cleaned once, had to use towels the size of flannels, these got changed once in a week - hmmm nice! | ||||||||||

| well the place is out the way but still not far from everything. the place was only ever cleaned once not good. mrs scrooge brought a fan for us and at the end of the week wanted to charge us for it even though we never asked for it. there was three of us staying there and and the place was so small it was like a double room with an extra bed added. | ||||||||||

| I got to the Astoria studios and got a grin on my face...not what i was expecting but made the most of it and spent 4 days there until the big robbery of my euros, the cleaners aren't to be trusted as you get a visit shortly after they've been sometimes in the night when you're out. get a safety box, don't trust anyone. | ||||||||||
