Hi, we have stayed at these apartments a few times, and found them great, Unfortunately not been to Zante for a couple of years now, and are thinking of going again this year, but I understand that First Choice no longer have holidays to these apartments.Can anyone tell me which travel company now book into these apartments.Thanks
stayed here in august 2008 had a fab time with my family. weather was lovely. near to busy pubs, clubs and restaurants but quiet enough to get sleep if you want. would definately go again if there wasnt so many places in the world i want to visit. ate breakfast and dinner at green frog very nice people. spent appx 100 euros a day for a family of 4, but you can buy stuff from supermarket. i didnt want to cook at all!!!!!!!!!!!
down side, again i would say the lack of air conditioning , but we got used to the heat eventually and had lots of water and a spray can of water on hand. my daughter could not sleep on the top bunk so we put her matteress on the floor each nite. then back in the morning to give us some room. also dont book a flight if you can help it, that leaves after 12.pm you will be homeless from 12 midday until your rep collects you, in our case it was 3am!!!!. yes i did ask for a room but none were available as everyone wants to stay at marie mare!!!! cause its so nice. apart from that you will have a great holiday here .
We have just returned from the Maria Mare apartments and they were fantastic! Tranquil surroundings in the day, which suited us, a great bistro across the road, The Green Frog, and a short walk to beach bars too. To us...Heaven!
stayed here 10/08/2008 to 24/08/2008 what a fantastic hotel right on the sea front . supermarket directlly opposite the apartments ,5 mins from argassi ,excellent apartments would definately visit again.
cannot praise these apartments enough fantastic. will revisit.
Have just arrived home from week staying @ Maria Mare apartments. I would recommend them to everyone who likes to be near the nightlife but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. The views are fantastic, the rooms clean and spacious and the pool area is superb with wonderful sea views. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and our rooms were kept very clean by the lovely lady's who came every day. The Green Frog accross the road serves nice food and is great for picking up basic essentials in the adjoining supermarket. Molly Malones just down the road is a great place to have a nightcap as they serve great cocktails. Hope your holidays here were as much fun as ours.
Very nice and quiet apartments in the quieter end of Argassi. Nice clean apartments look out on to the pool and the sea which is so clear you can paddle way out. No entertainment on site but we liked that as we could relax but just a short walk down to the nightlife and restuarants. Just opposite the great Green Frog for all your food, supplies, internet and meals, they also do a Take Away service too. Also try Granada as they are to do with the Maria Mare. All in all we had a great time in the apartments although we spent most of our time in our Car!
We have just arrived back from our 7 night stay here and we had a great time. The apartments are really nice and in a lovely area over looking the clear sea and with a lovely pool area. They are directly opposite a shop/bar/restuarant which is great for all the basics. Just a short stroll down to the nightlife which is vast and varied but is just enough away to be quiet. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the pool gets cleaned everyday.
Our only gripe was that our sheets were only changed once during our stay when it says on the notice board that it would be twice. They can get quite messy with the shower not having a curtain so I think it should be more.
All in all a great holiday although we spent most of our time in our Hire car around the island which is beautiful and in Kalamaki for the beach and restuarants.
We stayed here in june 2003. and was the most relaxing holiday we have had,
stayed again May 9th 2006 for one week. This time with our little lad who was not born last time, once again we had a great holiday, only wished it was two weeks instead of one. The owners really look after this place and the Swimming pool area is fantastic.
Also we would like to mention the granada tavern, Meals were great, the atmosphere and waiters were really good and it was very good value for money.
we will definitely return, maybe not next year, but some time soon we hope.

With regards to your question the magic mushroom and the factory are
about a ten minute walk from the maria mare along the main road.Watch
out for those drain holes though!!
Myself and my partner stayed there for two weeks in september and it was brilliant.

Hello we have just spent two weeks at tha marie mare it was wonderful the pool is so clean and there were ample sunloungers and parasols all clean and tidy too the location is excellant right on the beach it was about 10yards from the pool to the sea and the sea is so clear I recommend a see-through lilo to just float on and watch the little fish swimming around fantastic!
the rooms are kept very clean and tidy with ample towels supplied .
Our teenage daughter loved the green frog resturant as the entertainment was great and its just accross the road from the marie mare also next door you can hire a scooter for as little as 10/15 euros a day a great way to tour the island.
I will be rccomending the marie mare to everyone as it is the best holiday to really unwind and the staff are lovelyand work very hard so that you can have a stress free holiday!
We have just returned from two weeks at the Maria Mare Apartments in Argassi. We cannot fault the Maria Mare apartments and would not hesitate to recomment the apartments to anyone. We paid for a sea view but all the apartments have a side sea view. The apartments are basic but roomy and clean. The kitchen was basic with two electric rings and a full size fridge. The hand held shower took some getting used to but was O.K. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The apartments were not in the busiest part of the resort but close enough to be convenient, so it was very quiet. The green frog supermarket and bar across the road were excellent and had everthing we could possibly want. We ate in a different restaurant every night and my two teenage boys had a fantastic time investigating the night life. The resort is very much a family resort, and felt safe. During our time there we did not see any problems with drink etc. We had a fantastic time at the Maria Mare apartments.
