I've stayed at Sydney House just once, but found the apartments very nice, well equipped, decent sized & great for bigger families. Just a stones throw away from the beach and just next door to the Virago Bar!

This was our first visit to Alykes. The apartments were right by the beach and near to the Paradise Pool and bar, which made the location good. The only down side was having to walk along the rather smelly salt lakes to get to the town. The family live on site at Sydney house, and make loads of noise from the moment they get up til the time they go to bed, which is never before midnight. Linen was not changed in the week that we were there. And another big minus was the fact that you had to walk through part of the family kitchen to get to the apartment if you stay on the top level of the apartments. Not the best place and we will not be returning to these apartments. (Beach house next door seemed really luxurious in comparison when we looked around an apartment there)!! | ||||||||||

I have just returned from Alykes with my wife after staying at Sydney House, we both found the accomodation to be really good. The family made us welcome and we got on with them well, the rooms were cleaned and the linnen changed every other day. We have been holidaying in Alykes for the last 8 years and only wish we had found Sydney House sooner, i would recommend this accomodation to anyone thinking of going to Alykes  on holiday. | ||||||||||

I have just returned with my wife from Sydney House after staying for one week, we both found the accomodation the best we have stayed in in Alykes. We have been going to Alykes for the last 8 years and wish we had found Sydney house years ago, the family were very good to us and the rooms and lined were cleaned and changed every other day. The family made our stay a home from home and would recommend this accomodation to any family thinking of going to Alykes. | ||||||||||

| Apartments are approx 30 mts from beach. Unfortunately the owners live above the apartments and are exceptionally noisey, from early morning to late at night. Don't expect regular changes of bed linen and towels. | ||||||||||

| Apartments are in a great location, but not ideal for familys with samll children ( ours are 16 months and 3) as the family who own and live in the apartments are very noisy till early hours of the morning. We asked for them to keep the nopise down, so our children could sleep , but this was ignored. However if you are lucky enough not to have children are out until late the noise won't bother you. | We've just got back from sydney house after having a brilliant 2 weeks. Maria and family(the owners) were brilliant they were very kind and helpful. A lovely relaxing family holiday. | ||||||||||

| just returned home from 2 weeks staying at sydney and we thought they were very good,there were five of us so it was a bit cramped.best location for midnight strolls on the beach and very,very clean-they even washed up anything(unintentionally)that we had left to wash up later!I would definately stay there again! big thanks from Wendy,Laura,Hannah,Samantha &Lily! | ||||||||||

| Sydney house is the best place to stay in Alykes, its in a perfect location, on the beach, away from the noise but still close enough to walk into town, the family who run it are also some of the friendliest in Alykes, definately a place to stay! | ||||||||||

| This is the perfect area to stay, it's quiet and its not far from the beach, a pool or the town. Me and my family love it here and we hope you will too. | ||||||||||
