Just returned from Hotel Maria, what can I say apart from, we had a one of the best holidays ever, Theo, Billy, Dennis, and the one and only Alex, were perfect hosts, always friendly, polite, and a good laugh, also the cleaning Staff were hard working and also very freindly, and they all worked very long hours. We met loads of people there, such as Keith, Shelia, Charlie, Yvonne, Les, Diana, and Tom, to name a few, we enjoyed ourselves that much, we are going to go back, the same time next year, and hopefully meet up with some of you yet again. | Just returned from a weeks holiday in the Maria Apartments. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday this is NOT the place for you. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, but music plays all day around the pool, and not just at background level, which would have been fine. If you find yourself in either room 38,39,40 or 41 sleep is impossible, as they are above the bar, guess who was in one of these. The noise is horrendous and goes on till two, three and four o'clock in the morning. Saturday night was really bad as it felt as if the whole building was vibrating with the noise. Glad to be back to peace and quiet,. But the weather was great. | |

hi just home from 2weeks at the maria apartments what a great time we had on our first time in zante, theo,alex, dennis,& billy make you feel very welcome  the apartments themselves are well laid out, lovely swimming pool,and nice eating area if you go hungry,the apartments are always clean and tidy we had a nice big balcony to
the boys were all helpful even the cleaning staff aswell and always very pleasant
 lovely fresh towels and bed linen hope to see you all again from charlie & yvonne in scotland xxx

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Maria Apartments and had a wonderful time. In terms of the rooms, they are quite basic, but have most things you need for a stay, but we ate out every night so didn't really use the cooking stuff. The bathrooms are small but acceptable as they tend to be in most places in Greece. The balcony was large and safe. You only get one toilet roll for the duration of your stay so you will need to buy some from the local shops. You may also be lucky enough to make friends with two very cute and sweet cats who often visited us. Beds were changed once a week, but the rooms get a general go over every few days.
The pool area is always very clean and tidy. Probably the best thing about the aprtments is the guys that run it, absolute legends: Theo (who just happens to be gorgeous!), Alex, Billy and Dennis really make you feel welcome.
About 10-15 minute walk from the beach and town which isn't too bad and you always take a dip in the pool to cool yourself down after the walk.

 We have just returned from our second visit to the Maria Studios, 13 of us made up of 4 generations aged 74yrs to 4yrs and all had a wonderful time. The bar was lively (and late) enough to keep the 20 year olds happy without disturbing the oldies and also pleasant and welcoming enough to keep the oldies happy without annoying the youngsters. The pool bar offers great snacks at good prices.
We have been told that Maria Apartments are back with Olympic Holidays next year so keep a look out because we have been unable to find it so far.
Thanks to Theo, Billy, Dennis and of course Alex (hand bag) for keeping us entertained and making it such a superb holiday. | |

Hi there, I went to the Maria Studios on 3rd August 2008 for a week, was the best holiday ever!!! Returning next year for 2 weeks!! Myself and my boyfriend were unsure of what to expect as like most people, we searched high and low for info on the internet but there was none!! Depending on when you are leaving the hotel depends on when you have to check out. Alot of people had mid afternoon flights which were great as you have to be out of your room by mid-day on the day you leave, so if your returning to the UK for example at 4pm, you only have to wait 4 hours without a room. On the other hand, people like me and my boyfriend and a couple that we met on holiday, we were being picked up by the coach at 2.20am Monday and so from mid-day Sunday we didn't have a room! We were very lucky though as we met a lovely family who were staying longer than us and they let us use their room so we could get showered and changed. You can pay an extra 25 euros to keep your room on till 11pm but we didn't see the point as we would not be in it apart from to get changed. Please be aware that there is NO courtesy room however there are small showers/changing rooms at the back of the pool snack bar, they are very private and you can lock the doors.
The guys who run the hotel, Theo, Alex and Dennis are amazing, can't do enough for you!! Billy also helps out but he was only there 2 nights when we stayed but he's lovely aswell!!
Can't wait to go back next year!! Already been on the internet to see what deals there are!!

Like I said above, our stay at The Maria Studios/Apartments (same thing) was absolutely brilliant, couldn't have wished for a better holiday and can't wait to go back next year!!

Is the Maria Apartments the same as Maria Studios? I can't find anything about it despite a good search on the net.... except for other people saying exactly the same thing! Whereabouts is it? What can we expect? What about this checking out nearly 24 hours before your flight thang?!!!

Hello there!! I'm off to the Maria Apartments in Alykes on 3rd August with my boyfriend. I've been reading every review I can find on the internet but still i'm not sure what to expect!!
Really looking forward to going as ive not been away for 7 years!! And its my first holiday without the parents!! So as you can all imagine i'm panicking abit!!
The only picture I can find of the apartments is the one on the First Choice website, there are no detailed pics of the rooms or anything!! Is that a bad thing?? Any info would really be appreciated!!

Myself and my fellah Jeff went to Maria Studios in Alykes on 29th June. We were with friends, Linda, Louise, Ken and Gem. We went so we could spend time with mine and Linda's son's, Sonny and Jordan who are working in Argassi. Maria is fabulous - couldnt have wished for a better place to stay. Bit of a hike to Argassi (20 euros each way in taxi) but worth it to see our lads. All the guys who work there really put the hours in and work hard but always have smiles on their faces. The maids are lovely and do a fantastic job. They came in every day and made beds and changed towels etc. Am looking to try and book another holiday this year cos we had such a good time and I want to go back. | |
