Poseidon (old) - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Melanie P  (05 August 2006)

annoying man on the door said it was the best food in zante and we fell for it. went up the broken stairs to the roof garden for our meal, was met by some miserable waiters, had to wait a while before we could order even though it wasnt that busy.food arrived ive eaten better frozen ready meals for less than quarter of the price, horrible! horrible!horrible! done even bother with this place. me and my boyfriend are not overly fussy eaters but can recognise a crap meal when weve tasted it, yuk!

Snack Academy - (Restaurants in Argassi)

what a lovely pleasant place to eat and drink. service was wondeful. people very friendly. we had breakfast there twice in a week even though we had paid for breakfast at katerina palace.thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. went regularly for drinks too, always enjoyed it. dont know the name of the guy who served us most times but he was a tall slim english guy with glasses and he always had time for us. miss argassi and this place so much.

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Melanie P

booked this cruise from kalamaki even though we were staying in argassi. thought we would do all the sites in one cruise, not a good idea.coach came late for us so when we got on the boat we ended up with the side of the boat with no views just looking out at the horizon.very crowded and toooooooo long . didnt see any turtles as promised, and once youve seen one cave uve seen them all. best part for me was smugglers cove amazing like paradise.after that the boat was like a ghost ship beacause everywhere i looked people were very sick, toilets, sinks and floors were covered in vomit , was waiting up to an hour to get to the toilet.  would never do a days cruise again.def recommend visiting the shipwreck but thats all!

Greek Night - (Zante Excursions)

Melanie P

booked this from kalamaki (we were staying in argassi). we booked it at about 6.30 and asked if we could go that night at about 8.30,ken the guy taking the booking told us that was too late so we booked and paid for it for the next night. we got picked up from argassi at 7 (ken told us this was the time we needed to get there). arrived at sarakina bout 7.30, it was empty! we was told we could have all the wine we could drink (which through it for us to go in the 1st place). had one small jug of wine and had to pay for the rest on top. starter came rather quickly which was excellent, never had a starter quite like this before, enough for six and there was only two of us. main course was a decent size and very tasty, desert was just as nice.the place started filling up about 9 which by this time we had eaten and been sitting doing nothing for two hours, we was both ready to go home then really.wish we had been told to arrive later has it would of been a great night.beautiful restaurant and views. ken had arranged for us to be picked up at 11,never been so happy to see someone before, both had numb bums from sitting on a chair for so long . well worth going but you dont need to get there till nine.we asked ken what time it was on till and he told us it was 24hours hmmm. think he contradicted himself there dont you!
