The comments from 2004 were correct and refered to the Dolphin behind the salt flats. I am older in years and prefer a quiet drink and conversation, but am also a very  out going person but I did not like it here and stayed for one drink. Sorry  

Just came back from Alykes weather was great 35+ no rain for 2 weeks no clouds. I always take cash and a debit card. All of the shops change sterling at moment 1.38 but on the debit card when I got home was getting 1.43 which is why I always use it to draw cash on. The service till is right in the village next to the main super market (Best car rental) or there are quite a few on the front in Zante Town. You wont have any problems. Have a great time.

Crystal clear water, great beach we always get a car and have travelled the whole of the island this time.

This is the beach to the left of the Jetty near the Athena.It is also where alot of the local people go and  and is less English which trust me is a big plus.  

I am a good cook, am a fair person and enjoy my food. The restaurant looked pretty good but the food was awful.

we ate here every lunchtime and tried every course 11/10. We left the kids on the beach to play. (not the baby)

We ate in 65% of restaurants went back here twice, Fantatic. This is the oldest Taverna 1969.
