Piccadilly - (Restaurants in Argassi)

After hearing SO much about how good this resturant was, my husband and I decided to try it - it was even recommended by a local........

It started off OK, the waiter was sweetness itself, the starter was exceptional and we looked forward to our main course - I had decided on the local dish of Kleftiko which was very well presented until, a couple of bites into it, I bit on something hard, I naturally assumed (as you would) it was a piece of lamb bone - no big thing I thought and proceeded to take it out of my mouth, it turned out ot be a small tack (yes a small nail).  I was horrified as were onlookers.  I called the waiter who'd taken our order over and told him what had happened.  I watched him go over to the counter, talk to the 'head honcho'(?) who came over to us and told me that 'they don't use that sort of thing at this resturant and that I must have put it there myself.'  I was horified and VERY upset.

The  staff at this resturant are a disgrace to to the Greek poeple on the Island, they turned from smiley friendly people to impolite, agressive and very rude.  All I really wanted was for him to say he was sorry and replace the meal.  DO NOT USE THIS RESTURANT...  No one at the hotel we were staying at did atfter this epsiode and as we were leaving I heard a holidaymaker telling another holidaymaker who'd just arrived what had happened and not to use it either!!!

We ate here three time during our fortnight and not once could we fault it.....

The food was ALWAYS well cooked and well presented and the portions were good, the menu is varied. The staff were always very firendly and extremely helpful - give it a try next time you are in Argassi...

We ate here a couple of times during our holiday, the food is to die for, whilst my husband tried different dishes, I went to the ½ roast chicken from the spit- mmmmmmmm.

Gina is wonderful and makes you feel as if you are the only customer in what is always a very busy resturant.

Over the eight years we have been going to Argassi, I don't know how many times we have walked pased this resturant (there are so many good resturants in town).  We decided to make a point of eating there this year and we did.

The food was glorious and plentyful, the sevice could not be faulted so we'll be back to eat next summer !!

Argassi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Yet another great hooliday at The Family Inn in Argassi which is run by the very friendly Ambelas family.....It is situated in a quite area of Argassi although the beech and resturants are only a short walk away.

The pool area is very clean, the poolside bar (run this year by Teresa, Tassia and Michael) did some very good 'specials' - check out the 'chalk board', along with the usual things - Greek Salad, pitta etc - all very well presented and served.

At night, the guests all end up in 'Dino's' bar which is great place to chill out at the end of the day - is there anywhere else to end the night except at Dino's?

If anyone is considering The Family Inn for their holidays, you will not be dissapointed..

Yet another great holiday at The Family Inn in Argassi which is run by the very friendly Ambelas family.....Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. It is situated in a quite area of Argassi although the beach and some very good resturants are only a short walk away.

The rooms are basic but VERY clean with the option of air con or the hire of a fridge (If you book direct with the hotel, these are included in with the price.)
