Never saw one Greek girl in there, just loads of Greek blokes!!!

Family Inn Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Stephen C

Spoilt for choice as regards places to eat but i can recommend the picadilly, which is on the other end of the resort from where you are staying,on the righthand side of the main street. The Green Frog, which is in the resort centre. Enigma, also on the right of the main street, not far from The Family inn and if you turn left at the church the bottom of the hill, there is a nice restaurant about 150 yards on the left hand side, can't remember the name. Most beers i bought were between 2 and 3 euros, draught or bottles.

I read somewhere that the Factory is closed,is this true and if so why?It has always been the best club in Argassi, whether it was called the pyramid or the factory.

Stephen C

Val,as you probably found out last year, you always end up meeting new friends when you travel alone.I'm going to Argassi alone on July 5th.Where are you staying?

Green Frog - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Stephen C

Is the Green Frog still open, only i heard last year that they were selling up and Mcdonalds were moving in?

May - (Best Time to Visit)

Stephen C

Stephen C

July - (Best Time to Visit)

Stephen C

Know nothing about anastasia hotel but weather in july is usually sunny with temperatures in the 30's.

Kalamaki - (Exchange Rates in Zante)

Stephen C

Tim,on past experience, sterling cheques are best as no commission is charged but they tend to charge for euro traveller cheques for some reason. That's not to say that things might have changed this year, not going out till july but i'll be taking sterling.Hope this is of some help.

The Factory - (Bars in Argassi)

The Factory - (Bars in Argassi)

Stephen C  (23 September 2004)

Ah well Sandra, might bump into you next year.I usually go to Argassi in July but the kids want to come next year so i may have to go a bit later.

The Factory - (Bars in Argassi)

Stephen C  (25 September 2004)

Don't worry Sandra,i'm 46 and am still keen to party so you've got a few years left yet!Although there were loads of kids in there, the Factory was a great place to end the night.
I am toying with the idea of booking room/hotel seperate to flight next year.If you come across any cheap accomodation, could you let me know?

Bars and returants right on your doorstep if your stayin in the katerina, too many to chose from but you will soon find one to suit you, studios and hotel laid back a bit as well so reasonably quiet seeing its located so near to the action!Unfortunately,as in many mediterranian resorts,16/18 year olds can be found puking in the streets but you can avoid them easily enough, resort is big and varied enough for all tastes. You will love it there.Enjoy your hols!

Katerina Palace Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Stephen C

Days can be as busy or lazy as you want,if you dont want to be around pool all day then there are plenty excursions available around the resort, there is a free bus to lovely beach every day, leaves from avalon bar i believe but if you dont want to go too far, watersports are available on the beach.Only downside of argassi is that beach is very narrow but is long enough to find a reasonable spot.If you like lively you will probably like to try magic mushroom and avalon bar and, later on,factory club.Great nighys out can be had here.

Two Brothers Studios - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Stephen C          8/10

I think some people expect 5 star accomodation when visiting the greek isles when, in reality, apartments rarely meet those standards!

Most accomodation is basic to say the least but sufficient for a comfortable 2 week holiday and the two brothers is no different. After all, who spends most of their holidays in their room? All you need is a base - bed, shower, toilet and be able to make a cup of tea or coffee.
