Windmill Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Paula W          10/10

I visited Zante 10 years ago and stayed in both Argassi and Lagana, seven of us came this year (6th - 20th May 2010) and it is our first stay at the Windmill Studios. I have to say we were extremely impressed with the accommodation. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were lovely and airy and although they were studios there was a hotel feel about the place, clean towels and bins emptied every day. The food was reasonable and good. We really enjoyed the Greek night, fabulous food and entertainment especially for the money we paid. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these stuidios to anyone and have already been back at work today raving about the place. Hope to be back there soon x

Paula W          10/10

Just visit Argassi (6th - 20th may 2010), went for a drink at Beer Academy and ordered some food from Snack Academy, they even brought it over to our table in the bar. Food was great a reasonably priced. Went back anotehr night and ate outside the Snack Academy, once again food great and my sister even bought a t-shirt. Well worth a visit. Our mum loved the fish fillet sandwich (fish finger butty!) x

Green Frog - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Paula W          10/10

We visited The Frog several times during our recent stay (6th - 20th May 2010), the food was great -price, quantity and taste wise. We enjoyed the entertainment, karaoke and Big Al's Quiz, the 'Lucky Seven' even came second in the quiz (not bad for non quizzers!). I would recommend a visit here, all the staff a friendly and one or two good looking!

Legends Bar - (Bars in Argassi)

Paula W          10/10

I have to agree with the others on here best english breakfast in town! Just come back from Zante (6th - 20th may); visit Legends on many occasions, breakfasts, dinners, karaoke, bingo, quiz night, football, you name it they have it on. If you are going to Argassi make a point of visiting, don't miss out on the cocktails two for 5 euro, try a dirty bar man - you won't be disappointed!!!

Glass Bottomed Boat Trip - (Zante Excursions)

Paula W          10/10

Just got back from Zante (6th - 20th May 2010); Went to Laganas for the day and there were boat trips to see the turtles running from the beach. A bit sceptical but we went back a few days later to take one of the trips, they were only running the packaged trip of turtle finding, visit to the caves and a visit to the beach on one of the islands. we were told the visit would be about 2 and a half hours but were actually out for over three hours. We spent about an hour and a half looking for tutrles of which we saw qutie a few. We then went to look at the caves and spent about 45 minutes on the beach/swimming in the sea. On the way back we saw more turtles. I would recommend this trip to anyone - but strongly suggest you book with the people on the beach rather than the operators in the towns as we have heard stories that when people went on the visits with these operators they didn't see any turtles. The people selling the trips on the beach in Laganas guarantee your money back if you don't see turtles - thankfully we didn't have to try and get out money back.

Island Tour by Coach - (Zante Excursions)

Paula W          8/10

Visited Argassi 6th - 20th May 2010 - booked a coach tour around the island, it was OK, the weather was good and the guide, although it was her first day was very good, you could tell that she had a very strong greek accent but her English was OK. Had been on this trip twice before a number of years ago and was a little disappointed that we didn't visit the area where the people sold their goods from their houses, on a previous visit they sold lace, bags, wine, honey, you name it they sold it. Did however visit some nice little shops along the way. The views were also amazing. Not everyone's cup of tea but if you want to see the island then this is a better way than the boat trip.

Zakynthos Airport - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Paula W          3/10

Comparing the ordeal to 10 years ago it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The airport seemed alot more spacious and airy. Didn't like having to queue twice for check in though, once the check youself in and then once to send your bags through. Drinks and food expensive, if you want a drink is suggest you buy one from the duty free shop rather than the bar area.

Things in the duty free shop not that cheap so suggest you buy goods in resort. Also you don't get very long at the airport, good job too as there is not much to do.
Even though they have refurbished/built a new check in/lounge area not impresed with lack of technology, they had wrote all our seat numbers and names on the tickets, messed up though when they gave some people the same seat numbers, try wathcing that one be sorted out on the plane, especially when some people end up being split up through the airports error. Also check in very slow!
