Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Annie K          3/10

After reading many great review on this restaurant, we decided to visit there on our first night in Kalamaki.  The setting is nice and the menu varied, but unfortunately we did not have a nice meal.  Thinking we had just been unlucky, we went back on our last night.  Alas, another very disappointing meal.  Personally, we would not recommend this restaurant.

Buon Amici - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Annie K          5/10

We ate here on our third night in Kalamaki.  The restaurant was extremely busy, and we took a seat on the couch while we waited for a table.  I had bruscetta for starters, that was not very nice, my husband had mushrooms ala creme, which he really enjoyed.  We both had pizza for mains, that were average (it wasn't even possible to get chilli on my pizza, which I found a bit strange).  It was quite expensive, for a very average meal.

Zepos Taverna - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

We found this restaurant on our second night, and found it to be excellent.  So much so, we came back a further two times.  Lovely setting, very nice staff, a really relaxed feel to the place.  Food was excellent, and we had our most enjoyable meals here.  We would highly recommend it.

Stani - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

We had lunch here one day, and enjoyed it so much, we returned on our second last evening, for dinner.  Lovely relaxed restaurant, great food and very reasonable.  We would highly recommend Stani, for lunch and dinner.

Sirocco Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Annie K          8/10

We stayed in Sirocco for a week, the beginning of August '09.  We had a room in the annex part of the hotel.  The room was basic, but clean and confortable.  Aircon and fridge were not included in the price, but needed in the August heat   Hotel grounds were kept very nice, and the pool area, lovely.  Nikos in the poolside bar was so nice, and we enjoyed a cool beer under the shade in the late afternoon, listening to chill out music.  The beach is just down the road, and the bars and restaurants in the new and old strip area, less than 10 min walk.  All in all a nice hotel in a great location.

Letsos Hotel - (Accommodation in Alykanas)

Annie K          1/10

Outside, the hotel looks really lovely.  Unfortunately, the inside isn't quite up to scratch.  Rooms basic, bed very uncomfortable, bathroom flooded after the shower being on 30 seconds, severe lack of towels, doors banging from 08.00 hrs.  Odour in the hallway.  Pool bar is nice and the hotel is in a good location, but the standard of room lets it down, and we would not return again.

Shoestring - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Annie K          10/10

Having walked from Alykanas to Amoudi, we decided to stop in Shoestrings on our way back for a cold beer and some lunch.  What a lovely setting, overlooking the old beach of Alykanas.  We enjoyed a chilled Mythos, before ordering a steak sandwich which my husband adored, and a delishous tuna roll for me.  It's a popular spot, and deserves to be.  Well worth the effort to find

Neraida - (Restaurants in Alykanas)

Great setting, just off the nicest part of Alykanas beach.  We stopped for lunch on our last day.  Menu is large, but we weren't overly impressed with our toasties, and wouldn't go back.

Paradosiako - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Annie K          10/10

Great restaurant, halfway between Alykanas and Alykes.  We ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed both nights.  Great menue, very reasonably priced and lovely staff.

Olympic Kitchen - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Annie K  (20 August 2009)        10/10

Beautiful restaurant, lovely plush comfortable seating in the back.  Aircon and the nicest bathrooms ever   Menu is extensive, and the food excellent.  It is more expensive than other restaurants, but worth it.  We ate there three times in seven nights.  Gorgeous lemonchello on the house, when settling the bill.  A nice touch.
