Athina - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Coaxed down the lane to this restuarant by the offer of free wine and were delighted, first by the wine and then by a great meal at a very reasonable price. I had lamb kleftidoand my wife had chicken; both were really, really good. The service was excellent. The sound of the sea nearby made it a perfect evening.

The moustachioed man at the front of the restaurant does become a bit of a pest. We did try the restaurant and were not impressed with the service, price or the food. There are a lot of better places in Argassi.

Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The English lady at front of restaurant is nice and friendly and that sets the tone for the whole place. The kids named one of the waiters 'Mr Happy'; whatever he was on I would like a pint of it. The food was very good and great value. Go for the Greek night it is a bit of craic.

Kevin, Ingrid, Rory, Deirdre, Donal and Insa send a big THANK YOU to Leo for the friendly and entertaining service. The kids loved the place. The place is great for snacks (gyros, souvalki, etc.) and beer (ask for the big glass). Great to just drop in and 'chillax'.

The guy at the front of house is a very straight and not pushy, that is why we tried it. We had a great meal here. My wife and I shared a platter of Greek food it was massive - good value. The kids were very impressed with the sparklers in their deserts. The pizzas are excellent.

One black mark is they give you bread withouth asking do you want it then charge you for it, it is not a big thing but I just deduct that amount from the tip.
