Stamnes Taverna - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Joanne T          1/10

we ate here and ordered the mezze for two.We were really disappointed it was cold and reminded us of frozen party food you can buy cheap over here. Not the Greek cuisine we expected. We also ordered garlic bread it was cold and the butter hadnt melted it wasnt cooked properly. This was our first night and first meal and we were disappointed. The guy standing on the road trying to get you in was really friendly though and funny. Looking at the other good reviews about this restaurant perhaps it was just a one off but we didnt go back to find out. We ate it all as we were hungary and it was eatable but we just expected better for the price we paid. Not cold cheap party food.

The Olde Vineyard - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Joanne T          9/10

we had two lovely meals at the olde vineyard. It took a bit of finding as it is hidden behind the carvela hotel.
This taverna was our favourite. I ordered moussaka both times and my partner ordered the lamb lemonata. His first lamb lemonata was the best lamb and most tender he has ever had and I dont like lamb and I tried it and it was beautiful. The second time he has it it was lovely but not quite as good as the first time but that happens. We had walnut pie for desert was lovely but a little to greek for us. we find the greek puddings to be drenched in honey and prefer something like apple pie or brownies with ice cream.sorry about that as we like everything else about greek food.
We had some lovely house wine and really enjoyed our evenings here.we were not rushed. At the end of the meal you get a little drink all I can remember is it good for digestion and it tasted lovely we bought a bottle from the shops to take home. The english lady who was serving was really nice and helpful and chatted to us which was lovely she seemed to be working very hard but still had time to have a friendly chat.

Olive Tree - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We had three meals at the olive tree and really enjoyed them. what kept us going back was the mixed dips with pitta they were beautiful no other tavernas seemed to have this on the menu. I had the beef sourfrita which was absolutely gorgeous my partner was jealous. He ordered the stifodo which was good but he moaned to me that there wasnt enough little onions in it, the first time he had it there was none and the second time there was one.The brownies and ice cream  were lovely and the tiramasou was lovely to.
Really nice restaurant a little smokey at times however the smokers were enjoying being able to smoke after enjoying their meal so no problem we just tried to get a table away from them.
