Benikos - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Jaimie K          6/10

We visited Benikos last week and found our experiece to be fairly enjoyable.  The menu is etensive although you can say this for all restaurants in Tsilivi, there was nothing out of the ordinary that you could not get elsewhere.  Service was good and very friendly, decor nice and location ideal.  Food quality was ever so slightly above average, our main gripe was the quality of the house wine.  Being wine drinkers we should have listened to the warning our rep gave us on the hugely varying quality of house wine in the resort, unfortunatly we thought that given the reviews we read on Benikos we thought there would be less of a risk ordering the house red.  Sadly when it came out we found it to be nothing more than fruit cordial with a dash of brandy flung in.  Fresh drinks were ordered and it didn't detratc from the experience too much, just avoid the house red!!!

Contessina - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

The Contessina Pizzeria & Spaghetteria looks lovely from the main road sitting perched on the top of a hill.  We decided to give it a shot despite it being empty although we were later to learn it was empty for a reason.  Service was fine with a very pleasant waiter directing us to our seat, menu is fairly extensive with a decent choice for non Italian fans.  Food was below average, order of a village sausage, onion and pepper pizza appeared with the village sausage missing.  We didn't complain as by the time it arrived we just wanted out.  Below average food with average service.

Koukos - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Jaimie K          9/10

Koukas has an extensive menu and the staff are very pleasant.  Having eat in a few places in Tsiivi I would rank this in my top 2 or 3.  The main draw back being that the decor is not as nice as some other eateries, it is a bit too harshly lit and lacks the romantic atmosphere couples are probably looking for.  Having said that the prices and food are out of this world, Greek fare being its speciality although the menu is so extensive you won't have a problem finding something to suit your needs if you are not into Greek food.  Keep up the good work guys!!!!

The Med - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We were extremely dissapointed by the food served up in The Med Grill, especially at the prices they are charging.  One of our starters was no more than luke warm which is a bit of a bummer when it is oven baked feta, the other was so hot it would burn the roof of your mouth off.  mains were little better with my girlfriend ordering the Mediterranean Pork Loin which was described as being a Pork Loin stuffed with Peppers, Onion and Herbs.  When it arrived it was actually a lump of pork with onions and mushrooms spead over the plate smothered in some kind of grey sauce.  Unfortunatly my girlfriend hates mushrooms, when the waiter was asked if everything was ok he was told of the problem and his reply was "that is just how it comes." We decided to have a desert regardless as we didn't eat much of our mains so were still hungry, seems as it is nearing the end of the season there freezer was empty as tey had sold out of all the frozen deserts.  It wasn't all bad though, we did bag a free ug of nescafe out it :o/

Avoid!!!

Popeyes - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Jaimie K          9/10

It might not look like the classiest of restaurants from the main road but don't let its looks decieve you, the food availabe at Popeyes is served with a smile and is top drawer.  The Sirloin Steak Sandwich is a must have for lunch!!!  Not many restaurants last the course these days and it is testament to the staff that this place has been around for the last 15 years or so, top class!!!!!

Zeus - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Jaimie K  (14 October 2008)        1/10

I don't really know where to start here.  On arrival we were greeted by a jovial chap who showed us to our seats, we ordered our drinks and on the whole everything looked lovely.  Starters were delicious and then the problem came, the waitress knocked over the bottle of red wine which proceeded to cover my shirt and shorts. PROBLEM. Her way of rectifying this was to apologise and then go to the kitchen with the starter crockery/cuttlery before clearing the table up next to us. When I shouted her back she got another waiter to come out with a bottle of carbonated water and some paper hankies which he sat on the table before again rushing off to deal with outher customers.  As it happens the water did a better job than I expected of taking out the stain although it did not fully remove it.  At this point I decided to bite my tongue and continue with the meal as up until then we had a decent evening.  On completion of the meal the bill arrived and I was a bit miffed at the bottle of wine being listed despite a fair amount of it ending up over our table and down my atire.  When the waitress asked if everything was ok she was told that it wasn't ideal as we didn't actually get to drink the full bottle of wine, her reply again was sorry.  We asked to speak to the floor manager who offered to knock 50% off the price of the wine, although he tried to dupe us by offering us 50% off the cheapest item on the bill rather than the wine.  To top it all off when we left the restaurant the young member of staff who greeted us into the restaurant then decided he would have a laugh at us as we left the restaurant which almost resulted in there being more than wine spilt in the restaurant that night.  Terrible service and disgusting customer care although I do have to say the food was nice but who wants to eat good food sitting soaked to the skin??
