Sirene (Dollas) Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Debbie F          8/10

have just arrived back from staying at Sirene apartments, had a brilliant time.

ok, the rooms are very basic and the toilet could have done with a bottle of bleach down it, but only used it to get changed in & sleep.

went with my partner & 2 young children, who had a wonderful time in the pool.

Greg, Timmy & the rest of the staff were really lovely and friendly, Saturday nights barbie is a great night and at 9 euros per adult (5 for children) its one of the cheaper meals, with a caraf of wine thrown in to get you in the mood for the greek dancing.

met some wonderful people at the sirene apartments and would definately go back.

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Debbie F          10/10

definately the best restaurant we went to in kalamaki and was only a 5 minute walk from our apartments which was a bonus as our little girl fell asleep here twice.

food was excellent, they will cook any meal as a childs portion which encouraged my son to try some new dishes.

service was absolutely brilliant and all the waiters make a big fuss of the kids.

Levante Speedboat Trip - (Zante Excursions)

Debbie F          10/10

Definately the best day out of our 2 week holiday.  We stayed in kalamaki and made the trip into Tsilivi to pick up the boat at 08.30 by taxi.  Was certainly worth it.

Captain Spyros and crew are fantastic, very entertaining and knowledgable about all the island.  All the kids and women get to drive the speedboat, so a fantastic time was had by my 6 and 3 year olds, who got to sit up the front for the whole trip.

Unfortunately we didnt get to go on the beach at the shipwreck (but the water looked really cold so wasnt too dissappointed).  Captain Spyros stopped off at another bay so everyone could have a swim which was really nice.

Also got to go right into the blue caves which you can only do if on a small boat.

All in all a brilliant day was had by all.

Maryland Reptile House - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Debbie F  (06 August 2007)        10/10

This place is well worth a visit if you like snakes and lizards, or have got children that do.

What Mary doesn't know about them isnt worth knowing.  My 6 year old son had a wonderful time talking about the snakes and got to hold lots of them.

My partner held the iguana and got a lovely scratched neck for his troubles.

Would certainly come back.
