Marelen Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Mel S

Well we got back on Weds 5th July after a 2 week stay and i can honestly say we loved it.  Ok our beds were all in one room which for 5 of us was a little cramped but hey, it's only accomodation to put your head down in whilst you explore the island.

Kids entertainment was good, my daugther got a little over excited at the kids club lol.  Food at the accomodation was good, location was good.
Air con was an absolute must and a god send.  I think it's a shame you have to pay for a fridge but hey, you do.
The kids made some good friends out there, a few of which we will be keeping in touch with.  So that's all good.
Would like to go back next year.

We went here a few times whilst in Kalamaki and found the food lovely, the prices lovely and the staff even lovelier .  My son and daughter esp liked the caps they were given.  Well worth a visit.

Ate here a few times during our stay in Kalamki and the food was just divine, service was wonderful and considering the mess my youngest made each time, they still welcomed us back.  Worth the visit.

Water Village - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Mel S

we went on a Saturday with some of our family, spent from 10am-about 3.30pm there and it was wonderful, we'd have stayed longer if it weren't for an unhappy 17 month old!  Lazy River was cool, the Black Hole was brilliant, shame i only had time to go on it once!  If we go back to Zante, would defo do the water park again.

Apollon Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Mel S

We stayed one night, the 3rd July, as we were in Tsilivi for my brothers wedding, and the rooms, as we had 2, we VERY cheap, and VERY good accomodation, didn't have to pay for the fridge which was brilliant, clean, comfortable and ideally located.

We went 20th June - 4th July.  Our first stay there but definitely not our last.  Last year we stayed at the Marelen, which was good, but loaded with kids, which isn't a  bad thing.  At the Venus, the first few days, i felt a few of the guests were a bit off with us, maybe because we had 3 young(ish) children, i don't know.  But anyways, the hotel was gorgeous, the staff were all so happy and friendly, and i have to give a BIG thankyou to Nick  for returning back to the airport with my daughters hand luggage bag after she left it in the car.

The pool was ideal as it's not overly deep which we had last year, and therefore the kids had more confidence in there.  The family suite was just the ticket, lovely decor, and a good size for all of us.  The food at the snackbar was lovely too, as we sampled everyday!
What more can i say, a wonderful place, which we will visit again someday soon i hope.

Went to the water park on our stay in Kalamaki again about 2 weeks ago, and was just as impressed.  I have to say i chickened out of trying the 2 new slides as they looked scary lol.  But everything else as good.  And worth a visit.

Went back here again on our visit to Kalamaki this year and was just as impressed.  The service was brilliant, the friendliness of the staff was equally as good, and the food in my humble oppinion was just as lush.  My only complaint is that we ran out of time on our holiday to go back AGAIN.  Excellent

Buon Amici - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Went here a few times on our visit this year to Zante and loved it.  We even had help carrying the pushchair up the stairs.  Gorgeous food, and definitely worth a visit.

Started off by having a few breakfasts here then progressed to night time, and i am so glad we did, just wish we'd tried it earlier in our holiday.  Gorgeous food, very good prices, and very friendly service, when we DO return to Zante, we'll be sure to visit again.

Heavens Kitchen - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Same here, we went there one night whilst in Kalamaki, about 2 weeks ago, and the food was lovely, so was the service.  I have no complaints and certainly none about dining there again

Glass Bottomed Boat Trip - (Zante Excursions)

Mel S

Presuming we're reviewing the same one lol, i HATE boats but to be honest, even i enjoyed this trip.  Ok we only saw 1 turtle but surely as they're not remote controlled, you can never guarantee seeing them?  But we saw one, then we had a cruise around turtle island, then a swim stop, and also up to Keri caves, and then back, whole trip lasted about 3 hours and was well worth the money.  It has almost quashed my fear of boats too.

Airtours (MyTravel) - (Tour Operators in Zante)

We've only ever been with mytravel and have NO complaint whatsoever.  I guess sometimes things are bad luck but no.  The staff in the Mytravel shop here are helpful, the check in staff at Birmingham airport were just as helpful and the flightattendants were lovely too.  The food onboard was nice, and generally i would prefer to use mytravel.  AND if that's not good enough, on return from Zakynthos airport, one with such a bad rep, we even took off ONE HOUR EARLY!
