Benikos - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Friendly staff and good service.  Unfortunately for us the food was only average so we only went the once to this restaurant.

Edem - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Staff very friendly but unfortunately we found the found to be average.  I had the chef's chicken which only had about 3 small pieces of chicken in the pot with the rest made up of bits of veg.  My husband had the swordfish which was very poor quality.  Sorry.

Giorgios Restaurant - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Christine C          4/10

We went to this restaurant on our 2nd day and found the meals to be reasonable so decided to give it another try - fatal mistake.  My swordfish was nice although the accompanying veg was just mush.  My husband ordered the kleftiko which was cold when served and had to be returned to the kitchen.  When it was re-served it didn't look much better and consisted of a large bone with a tiny piece of lamb, tiny bits of potato and unmelted feta on the top so obviously not cooked the traditional greek way.

Admittedly this restaurant is very busy so they must serve some decent food sometime.  However from what we experienced the main aim is to get people into the restaurant and then you are left without attention for quite long periods.  They seem to work on 'get them in for their money', never mind the service, rather than a nice relaxing place to eat with personal service.  The manager of the restaurant didn't seem too concerned that we weren't happy and walked off from us when we complained!!  Needless to say we didn't bother going a 3rd time.  The nearby restaurants of Zeus and Nemesis are far superior and offer far better service and attention.

We had dinner here and also a few lunches - all of which were very good value for money and nice quality food.  Staff were all lovely and attentive.

Nemesis - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We ate here on our 1st night and a couple of other times and were extremely pleased with our meals.  Really nice food and pleasant unhurried pace.  The staff were lovely and always pleased to help.  Would definitely recommend this retaurant which was far superior to Georgios a bit further down the road.

Sweet Revenge - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Ate here once during our stay in Tsilivi and found the food just ok but a bit on the cold side which was a bit disappointing after reading all the good reviews.  However we can only rate on our personal experience.

Greek Obelix - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Lovely people but have to say we were a bit disappointed with the meal which we had there as it lacked variety as it had no salad or veg with the main meal.

Zeus - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Very friendly attentive staff and the food was good as well - nicely cooked and choice of menu.  Would recommend.

Ariadne Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Christine C          6/10

We found these apartments generally to be fairly basic and not as good as some of the reviews make out. Yes the views are lovely and the pool area is immaculate with plenty of sunbeds all day.  The higher floor rooms do of course have nice views but if you have a basement room facing the bar then things are not so good.  If we had known the type of room we would be given we would have preferred to stay in one of the many nice apartment blocks somewhere in the town without the hill climb.  The hill is quite steep but did not cause us any problems although it could be a challenge for anyone with health or walking difficulties.  The rooms were cleaned each day and towels/linen changed every 4th day.  There was only the basic cutlery (3 knives/forks/spoons), no bread knife or cooking utensils so don't buy uncut bread or plan to cook a snack!  Air con and safe hire expensive.  The bar served snacks and breakfasts but these were a bit on the pricey side.  As the nearest supermarket was at the bottom of the hill it was a bit of a drag carrying water, although we just split the pack to walk back.  Water for a pack of 6 in the supermarket was 1.30 euros, however if you bought it at the apartments it was 2.50 so a bit of a profit maker there.  We loved Tsilivi and will definitely go back but just not to the Ariadne.

Molly Malones - (Bars in Tsilivi)

We visited both of the Molly Malone bars when Middi was singing and had a great time.  Must say, Middi we really enjoyed your act!  The fire act was also amazing.  We never experienced any rudeness from any of the staff and found them to be polite and efficient for service.

We ate here 4 times in our 2 week stay and found the quality and service at this restaurant to be 1st class.  Unlike some of the other restaurants which were only 'so so', we had lovely meals on all of our visits.  The food was well presented, hot and lots of choice. The lamb kleftiko was one of the best I have ever tasted.  The staff were really friendly and efficient, particularly Dimitree who always took the time to ask to ensure everything was ok.

If we do return to Tsilivi we will definitely return to this restaurant which had lovely surroundings and an unhurried feel to it.
