Clear Horizon - (Restaurants in Amoudi)

We tried loads of different places on the island and this was one of the best. A good all-round selection on their menu but the greek dishes are out of this world. First time I had rooster (male chicken) stew, and the saganaki (grilled cheese dish) is wonderful! We made friends with an English tour guide and his wife. He lives on the island in Alykes and eats there all the time.

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

My wife and I (36 & 32 yrs)went on this trip last October. The weather was a bit rough once you got to the north of the island so we had to turn back and have extended swim-stops instead. These people are not there to rip you off, the safety of the boat, crew and tourists is more important than the risk of running aground in bad weather. The shipwreck isn't there because the Captain was drunk! Anyway, we loved the trip so much that we went again a couple of days later and the weather was good enough to go all the way around. If you love scenery, relaxing, sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling and travelling by boat, then this trip is a must! If you are easily bored, or a Laganas party monster then don't go. It is a full day on the boat, and unless you are there at the right time of year, YOU WILL NOT SEE THE TURTLES!!!! We are going to Zante for the second time on Sunday 30th Sept. And we are definately taking the boat trip. We preferred the wooden boat by the way, much more character and not as expensive to run as the new white steel boats.
