The hotel was recomended by a freinds who have been many times and I'm glad I took thier advice and booked up!!

 

I cannot say too much about the staff who were brilliant and some of the most hardworking I have ever seen, Dia was there everday from breakfeast until late into the night (after midnight on some days!!) she was one of the most freindly people I have ever met and nothing seemed too much trouble.

 

 The food was excellent and althought the breakfeast was minimal (bread roll and Jam with coffee/tea and Juice) it was all I wanted in the morning and you could still order an english breakfeast at discounted prices. At lunch time I can safely say that this is the best place to eat for snacks (altough the term snack is used loosely as there is so  much on the plate!!)

 

The pool is huge (by Greek standards) and very very clean.

 

Also a quick thank you to Robbie on reception, I telephoned the hotel direct to book and she couldn't have been molre helpful as we had very early flights she mades sure everything went smoothly so thanks!!!

 

We will definatley be going back next year!!!!

The food was out of this world and by far anf away the best I had during the whole holiday!!

 

Unlike many of the other restaraunts there are not pages and pages of dishes to select from, which I always find worrying!!

 

If your having a pasta dish you choose your sauce and the type of pasta you want and it is delivered to your table in a pan and you just help yourself very simple but very effective and absolutley delicious!!!

 

Staff were superb and very freindly and prices were unbelieveably cheap considering!!!

 

Would reccomend to anyone who visits Zante  full stop!!!(not just Kalamaki)

Service was awful considering the place was half empty!!

 

 

 

My food was OK (chicken kebab) but in comparrison to other restaraunts it was more like a starter.

 

My girlfriends vegetarin lasagne rolls were awful!! made from frozen veg and baked in what I would guess to be something approaching a Blast furnace!!!

 

I will be going back to Kalamaki but not back to Mermaids as there are plenty more superior places to spend my euro's in!!!
