Ate here 5 nights out of the 7 we were in Kalamaki. Food was excellent particularly the lamb kleftico which my hubby had on 3 nights!! Service was excellent with the waiters being neither obtrusive or non-existent, just right. We also ate breakfast here every day which was excellent as well. Anyone visiting Kalamaki MUST eat here. Be back soon xxx

Merlis Taverna - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Just got back from a week in Kalamaki and ate in Merlis Taverna most mornings and every evening. Food is fresh and tasty and represents excellent value for money. They have a daily special on the board outside which provides you with 3 courses for between 7.50 euro and 8.50, a typical example is onion soup starter, kleftiko main and cheesecake dessert . Onion soup is divine as is the feta saganaki and cheese pies. Breakfasts are superb, hubby went for the full english each monring ( 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 rashers bacon, beans, hash brown, mushrooms, toast, tea or coffee & orange juice - cost 5.50euro) and I went for the slightly lighter option of the veggie breakfast which was bascially the same as the full english minus the bacon and sausage (4.50 euro) it really set you up for a day sunbathing. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and make sure your experience is a good one. Have been going to kalamaki for 10 years now and this place really is the best and most consistent on value and service with a smile. Try it, you will NOT be disappointed.
