Me and my family are staying at St. Denis appts fro 19/6 for 2 weeks....

Heard so many varying reports...We are staying B&B. Can anyone tell us if refurbs are done and WHATS IT REALLY LIKE?

A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY...

The First Choice Brochure really does it no justice.

We have just returned after a two week stay and just want to say that any worries we had afer reading comments previously posted were laid to rest as soon as we arrived. Staying on a B&B basis, we expected one room with four beds but were delighted that all the B&B accomodation are 2 bedrooms - what a bonus!

Generally, everything was of an excellent standard. Apartments are extremely well equipped (for Greece) and are spotlessly clean. The maids are in most days. The pool and grounds are kept clean and tidy and the bar is managed by the wonderful Giannis, helped by Fortis, who does the cooking.

Giannis works extremely hard to make sure that you enjoy your holiday, Nothing is too much trouble for this guy and he always has a big smile on his face.

WARNING - Giannis is very generous with his measures so it is very difficult to stay sober!

We miss this place aleady and are tring to book for June 2008.

A big hello to Julian ''JUST ONE MORE'' and girlfriend Ciara and a big thanks to the memorial stonemason (who's name escapes me) for teaching my son Joe some great tricks at the bar - they are still keeping him amused!

Tsilivi is a lovely resort and has a lot to offer everyone. Lovely safe beach for children (although can get very busy)

Hi again...

Just to say that June is really booked up. Just got the last two b & b apartments for 2 weeks commencing 17th June 08. Couldnt get the weeks we really wanted....so if you are thinking about booking....DO IT NOW!

We are bringing my eldest daughter and her baby with us next time, baby will be about 6 months old!

Gonna have to drag along Jess and Joe (Scholsey) too I suppose! Jess is well happy that Leah will be there on the second week of our holiday.

JULIAN-Joe not amused that Tevez is going to United....oh well at least they will have one classy player!

Looking forward to seeing you all next June. Giannis....we really hope you will still be there next year - you are a little star

Anyway, 11 months and counting.....better start that diet!!!!!

Please sort the confusion out....

We visited the dionisos tavern which is set back off the main road...

It is wonderful. We ate there many times during our 2 week stay and every meal was superb.

Jug Beef was my favorite!

Can I also say that it wasn't just the food that we enjoyed....service was fantastic.

The restaurant was busy every evening, but service was superb every time. The two brothers that own the taverna are extremely welcomming , no gimmicks, just friendly, polite and extremely efficient.

We have booked to return to Tsilivi next June and will be sure to visit this taverna again and again..

Thanks for making our holiday even more enjoyable

I agree with last comment....

Food good, staff friendly but too many gimmicks and freebies for the kids....and pack you in like sardines!

Not what I would call a traditional greek taverna

Hated it!

Only place we have eaten Lamb Kleftico and been given a really tastless dish with bones in the lamb still.

Never again!

hi, just at the top of the junction where you would of turned right to go down to the Tom and Johns and the beach. St Senis supermarket on one corner and a bar on the other...little slip road leads you to st. Denis apartments. Only 2 mins away from Tom and Johns!

This particular page is to review the st Denis Apartments and not the resort ... Please amend your 6/10 rating especially because you only had good comments for the accomodation itself..

St Denis is great...

I'm simply trying to point out that this page reviews the apartments....there is another link to review the resort.

And you are so wrong....I hate english food and english bars abroad! I won't go mexican in Greece....i won't do Italian in Greece...or Indian or Mc Donalds..

I love Traditional Greek cuisine.

Yes I was disappointed with the Beach and the resort is becomming more and more commercial...but I loved the apartments and we met some fantastic people who certainly knew how to behave themselves....certainly not the ''typical english ignaramous'' as you so put it!

Not everybody goes on holiday for same reasons.

I have a hectic life in the UK so, what if I do like to relax around the pool..Two weeks a year ( if i am lucky )..to relax. SUPERB!

I just cant wait to return next June and I am so jealous of you Donna for going back again this year...how lucky!

Less than 10 months and counting. I hope Giannis will be there again, it will not be the same without him and Fortis.

Julian, Joe says that how can Tevez be expected to play well now that hes with such a crap team?

For what it is worth, Im a Liverpool supporter....I think they are on top of division....come on you reds!

hi jenny,

i cant speak for the self catering appartments. We stayed in bed and breakfast (which is cheaper!) and we had a two bed appt. our room had a double bed and doors that opened onto the balcony. Our kids had a seperate bedroom with single beds and also had patio doors to the balcony. For the first few days of our stay, we were in a different appartment...similar set up but only one set of doors to the balcony, from the double room. Other bedroom only had a big window.

Lovely place, if you manage to get booked in, enjoy your stay!

Happy new year to you all...hope you all had a christmas.

Just to let you know, my little grandson, Jack was born on 4.1.08......

He will be coming to St. Denis with us next year...cant wait to see him in a little pair of speedos......

Julian, Joe wants you to remind him of the Man U v West Ham score a couple of weeks back....can you remember who won?

Well June is nearing all the time, diet is going well.........Ive put nearly a stone ON!

Still time to get the weight off...perhaps take little Jack for a walk.

hi,

i think you can only book through 1st choice....

bed and breakfast is cheaper than s/c and the appartments are all 2 bedroomed and quite spacey.

youve made a good choice...hope you enjoy it as much as we did last year

good Day to all 2007 gang...

Not long now and I am finally back to last years weight (well all but 2lb) so I can do plenty of drinking and eating again this year!

Real shame about Man United - NOT!

Had great pleasure in taking the mick out of my parents, who also have bad taste in the choice of football team to support....

Anyway, hope you are all well...

I am sure Joe would love to thrash Man U on Fifa 08 - how does that work online?

Does anybody have new about Giannis yet? Hope he will be there.

I will apologise in advance for my parents. They are joining my clan on our 2nd week. Mum loves to get drunk and falls over and dad has threatened to wear a thong!!!! BACK TO FRONT!!!

St Denis hasn't got planned activities for kids at all. There are no clubs at this appartment and it doesnt lay on any kind of entertainment. Tsilivi has a wide mixture of bars, restaurants and music bars that serve well in to the early hours.

However, St. Denis is extremely friendly and I am sure your little boy will enjoy himself....

Hi to Julian, Ceira, Donna & Co, etc etc....

Ive booked for next year but its not going to be St. Denis again...

Mike and I are off to Lake Garda at the end of May...Just me and him, selfish I know but really looking forward to it. Hope you are all ok.. Donna, how are things with you? Let me know when you are in Andover next!!
