stayed at amaryllis in kalamaki july 2005 with our relatives had a great time with james the rep whom the kids tourtured and nearly drowened as they had a motto , the rep must swim!!! cheers james hope you are still working for the company as that is what everyone wants a good sport and a spot on rep who works hard for everyone they are looking after.

f a o lisa brodie. we stayed here in 2004 and will also be there 16th july this year for 2 weeks. air con costs 30 euro per week and is worth every euro of it. set the room temp to what you want and it will cool the room before you know it. you can leave it on all night at no extra cost.  as others have said this is a superb hotel  near to all the aminities you will need. see you there if you are going at the same time as us.

ate here twice in2004 and twice in 2005 will update 2006 gut had no complainy before food was great and the staff very helpful . try the greek dishes such as stifado and kleftica or moussaka then judge it. you go nto greece to eat their food and its good.

natalie, havent stayed here but have visited and found it good. we are just down the road in hotel marelen same dates as you . resort is very friendly and the restraunts are the best on zante . parethon , hera and olive tree are great . beach is long sandy and the water is shallow ideal for the kids and you may see the famous loggerhead turtles early evening as they come to the beach to lay their eggs though they are more noticable in mid to late june. email if you wish  pm34hc@talktalk.net

is james the former jmc rep still part of the management team here as he is a star, my neice took ill on our first day there in 2002 when he was just a rep and he was brilliant.he could not do enough as was the case with the owner and all the rest of the staff. as for the hotel count the planes going past but dont let it bother you , after a day by the pool you dont even notice them . its a very short walk to the village centre to the best restraunts in zante such as parethon, hera olive tree and pandesia whih was owened by this hotel owner,. drunk corner at the end of the road is an ideal watering hole with sky tv big brother and sport on tap as long as you are there. YAMAS is the   main shout with all the freebies you will get so enjoy.

jessica you will be fine, there are plenty young ones in your age group around the hotel and resort to make friends with. the beach is just 200 metres away and in the evening there is night life for all tastes and all the staff in all the restraunts and bars make everyone wellcome. you will find the resort a little bigger than when your family last visited but it still has its unique charm and atmosphere. we have been 4 times from 1995 uptill present and the staff in the resort never forget you. the greek dance and bbq night is good in marelen as well. hope it brings back good memories of your first visit, as it did for us thats why we return year after year.

kim you will have a good  holiday here. just 15 minutes from the aiport and just on the edge of  kalamaki with its long sandy beach just round the corner and some of the best restraunts on zante 10 minutes walk away in the resort centre. the apartments are in 4 blocks each 3 stories high and a good snack bar and shop on site. nightlife suites everyone with a wide variety of bars and restraunts where you can just chillout or join in the fun if you wish. most of the bars have the uptodate film releases on veiw for the family and even your weekly soaps or big brother etc. you can also keep intouch with all the sports and news if you wish..the hotel itself has a good sized pool and splash pool for the kids as well as a seperate play area. inside they have a bigscreen tv and internet access but not sure if you have to pay for that.only thing to watch for is there is a little aircraft noise during the day but you dont even notice it after a couple of days. none at night as the airport is closed from about 10-30pm till about 6am.

yannis 3 is singing in a greek dance entertainment in tsivili acording to the other yannis and gang , though where it is i am not sure . we have just got back today but did not have time to track him down as we were to buisy stuffing our faces on all best greek food  we could eat. resort seemed quieter this year but the food and staff were just as good. yamas once again everyone!!!

tassos, athina dennis and mary and everyone else at drunk corner thannks again for being there. athina take your time and recover from your illness we want to see you again [ dont panic folks athina took ill and spent a few days in hospital but she says she is ok now but must rest for a while] . weather you want a fun night or just to call for a quiet drink there is room for everyone to do their own thing  what ever time of day it is. from a superb breakfast which if you like it now boasts the only black pudding in kalamaki to a cup of tea or a fruit juice in the morning to a superb range of entertainment from sport to soap big bro or just relax in the airconditioned bar for a a beer from dawn till when everand soak up the friendly fun atmosphere and enjoy youself. yammas tassos athina dennis and mary, see you all again soon.from paul, dawn and gavin.

a traditional greek restraunt/ taverna  set off the main road  next to the venus and exotica hotels where you can relax and have an enjoyable evening with no pressure what so ever. demi, maria , family and staff can not do enough for you. the meals are superb and very well priced as well.try the lamb kleftico or beef ala zante for main course or if you like just try there pizza the bread is so soft and fresh it mealts in your mouth. for dessert the local greek pie dish called galactobouriko , if you can not pronounce it ask demi for gavs favourite she wiil know[ he had it 3 times in 10 days and it took him that long to pronounce it]. yammas demi look after tassos and athina, see you soon!!!. paul, dawn and gavin [joop]

the low rating puzzels me though we only ate here once this year it was very good and allways buisy when we passed by at night. not badly priced and typically greek friendly hopitallity made us feel very wellcome. would definately eat there next time we go back to zante.

a really friendly restraunt with a good attitude to all its customers, ideal for families where you also have the advantage of 10% discount with your privalage card which you get on your first visit. the meals are good and the staff always work hard to please everyone and you do get good value for money. if you want something which is not on the menue or you want something different to go with your meal please ask as they will do their best to help.hope you have a good season , best wishes paul, dawn and gav. ps costas is a star dont wind him up. welldone everyone you are still up there with the best restraunts in kalamaki.  my favourite was the beef stammnas and lamb kleftico but gav says mussaka is a must at hera. after all when in greece eat greek thats what you go for local food at a reasonable price. see you all again next time, [for those asking simon has gone but freddie and alex are still there and the attitude of all the staff is as good as ever].

drunk corner stiil the best  weather for D/C breakfast including black pudding or for a fun night with tassos athina dennis and mad mary . yiu can chill and take in your uptodate soap sport or even the odd new movie. or simply sit and have a laugh and a drink with the crew. we will be back !!!!

been to kalamaki 5 times , drank here a few times and always felt comfortable so booked to stay here end of june for 2 weeks , cannot wait . roll on summer

sam have a great honeymoon in kalamaki, you have picked a great hotel , nick at the bar and all the rest of the staff will really look after you, it really is a great place. as for food at night there aint a bad resteraunt in kalamaki. but diaz artemis hera and escape are just a few that come to mind where you get good value and a relaxing atmosphere. as i said have a great time. if you check out the main boards you will get more good tips.

TONI GAV SAYS FATTEN UP MORE RABBITS HE IS COMING BACK TO EAT THEM ALL, [LOCAL ZYKINTHIAN STYLE RABBIT IS A MUST TRY AT ZEPOS, ITS FAB!!!!!!]    as for the staff they are superb and with the added bonus of free transport to and from your hotel this place is a MUST TRY on everyones list. near the beach just off the old village strip the restaraunt is clean relaxing and friendly, we will be back. well what can i say, this place just buzzes with a fantastic atmosphere , tassos , athina, george and debbie just make you so wellcome you feel like your at home from the first time you walk in. with music fun and every sport available as well as a great atmosphere what more can you want. with all the old crew back this year , including the singinng yaniss, it was as good as ever!!!! as for the comments about the toilets  etc [ you are inn greece not the hilton hotel in london] chillout and enjoy !!!!!

con, i recently emailed admin and asked them to remove a comment left by my son on this page, but having just looked to see if it had been removed i see others have been removed to. why is this??. the reason i asked for gavs commet to be removed was because he was judging you on 1 meal 5 years ago which is unfair but some of the other comments removed are from this year. i ever critise a place but will recomend 1 where i think it is due. but you have to take the rough with the smooth the same as everyone else. good luck for the rest of the season . next year we will try you again and then judge. must admit your always busy and that must be a good point for any buisness. this is not a critisism of the restaraunt please try it for yourselves everyone then judge it for yourselves!!!!!

have to agree, weve eaten here for some 4 or 5 years now ad the meals are top class every time, with a relaxing friendly atmosphere you are left to chillout and eat at your own pace for as long as you like. the staff are always smartly dressed and friendly . my favourite is the beef stammas but they do a fab mousakka as well.

well in 7 years in zante weve finally made it here, the meals were great and the staff very friendly. i will certainly add it to my long list of good eating places in kalamaki . see you again and YAMAS!!

david, just a couple of queeries on your post, 1 when did you last go to vanessa, 2nd if you found it so bad 1st time  why go back, 3rd how many beds did you ask for when booking, and as for the breakins i find it hard to believe that you were tret like that as 99%  of the greek people we have met can speak vey good english and cannot do enough for you as well as being very trust worthy. as for comparing any part of greece to florida etc is totally unfair . as for tingaki in kos i would say kalamaki and tigaki are about even., [i have been to both]

just got back from cronulla on 27th july, having stayed at a few places in kalamaki over the years and never had a complaint anywhere i am pleased to say my trend contiues. this place is perfect. its clean, friendly and the pool is great. food and drink are cheap and good, right in the middle of kalamaki with a 5 min walk to the beach or 5 minute walk to the much forgotton old village area of kalamaki what more can you want.  as for the staff they are so friendly and helpful you cant ask for more!!!!!!. add the fact that its 5 mins from the airprt [10 euro in a taxi]  WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

1st time that we have ate here in the many years in zante and must admit they are up there with the best. 8 of us ate here and found it great value as well as good quality. we had 4 starters plus bread, 7 mains 1 childs menu, 5 desserts and drinks and it totaled 94 euro. the staff were very friendly and polite and really made us feel at home. will definately go again

just come back from kalamaki and the best rates were in the gold centre and sofias food shop. the highest rate we got was 1-24 to the £. still had a great holiday though

thanks for yet another great holiday tasos, slight change of staff but just as good as ever!!!!!great breakfasts and a few hangovers had by all. see you again in october mate and give demi a big hug from us
