Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Kay

Fantastic - the best place to eat on the Island. A little out of the way, but well worth the effort.

Stani - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Kay

Nice place with great views. Food good. Quality of service seems to depend on which waiter you get.

Doctors Surgery - (Doctors/Chemists in Zante)

Kay

Spoke good English and seemed to know her stuff. Pricey though - 13 Euros for 1 tube of cream and 6 Euros for another.

Hermes Car Rental - (Other Things in Kalamaki)

Kay

Helpful people, nearly new & brand new cars, great service - even let us take the car to go to the hotel to pick up Credit Cards and Driving Licence!! Will do a deal if you are prepared to haggle a bit.

Kalamaki - (Exchange Rates in Zante)

Hi Garry.
We have just got back from Kalimaki and everyone was offering 1.42 or 1.43. No Commission. Hope this helps.

Shipwreck Viewing Platform - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Kay

Fantastic views.
The shipwreck itself is a bit naff, but the sea has to be seen to be believed!
Best to hire a car and go, as that platform is not up to holding a coach full of people!!

Kalamaki Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Kay

Hi Lil G
We have just got back from the Exotica. Nice hotel, but very family and children orientated. If it is just you and your boyfriend, you had better like children. The Venus is just across the road, but I don't really know what it is like.
Both hotels are about a 5 mins walk to the beach. Both are in a good location for the shops, tavernas, etc.
Kalimaki is a more laid back, relaxing resort. If you are after great nightlife and a hotel right on the beach, Laganas might be for you.
Hope this helps.
