Exotica Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Stayed for 2 weeks from 9/June/2003. Hotel very clean, including rooms - which are of adequate size for a family of 4. Fridges are available, just ask at reception and they are 5 euros a day - we didnt pre-book and got one delivered the next morning(This was essential as the weather was over 40 degrees every day for the first week.) Reception staff are excellent, very friendly, as well as bar staff. Drinks at the bar are expensive so the fridge comes in handy for the beers from the supermarket which are much cheaper. We had 2 kids under 4 and it was impossible getting them to sleep as evening entertainment (if you could call it that!) was deafening - our room was by the pool, and it didnt finish till 12 oclock. Plus dont get excited about Superfamily status, as kids club was the worst Ive experienced, and this was my third superfamily. Overall however excellent hotel if you're not bothered about kids clubs.

We ate here on our first night - service was good (but not exceptional) - chef did come out to check everything was OK which was nice. Price was a bit expensive compared to other places and portions werent enormous, but pizza and pasta were very nice.

Meal for 2 adults and 1 child 24Euro. Excellent value as starters, main course and drinks plus complimentary bread and the owner sent over complimentary spirit when we paid the bill. (some sort of banana liquer) Service excellent especially with our 3 year old who was a bit of a handfull. Would recommend.

We had the Indian special which was onion bahjis, samosas and poppadoms and main couses of chicken jalfrezi and beef madras. It was absolutely gorgeous, very filling and probably better than indians at home. Cost was 25 Euros for the meal and 8 euros for the drinks ( for 4). Service was very good. Normal menu did seem more expensive but specials are always on the board outside. Very nice for a change when you're sick of eating Greek food.

As I remember the service was very good and the prtions were very large. I had lamb chops in lemon sauce, greek style served with salad and chips - I had 4 large lamb chops and salad was lovely. Excellent value for money. There was no noise when we went at 7 oclock and it was quite full.

Like previous comment - we went here on the 15 June and were certainly not impressed. Service was slow, food was far from impressive - small portions and tasted quite bland. We ordered kleftico and moussaka. Moussaka was so runny when you got to the bottom it was a horrible combination of water and oil. I think there was an automatic service charge as well which I certainly wouldnt have paid if I had known. Suffice to say did not go back.
