We arrived to be dropped off on the road at Lofos Tavern were we had to drag our cases up the small hill to the Reception. We knew there would be a charge for air con but told it would be double as there were two units in our apartment 83 euros for 1 week.We then had to pay 21 euros for the safe key for 1 week. You could also hire a Kettle, toaster, hairdryer and microwave. We had asked for twins beds before we arrived (mum with me)there was a double so when I went back to reception I was given two single sheets and a pillowcase to make up my own bed in the kitchen. The apartment had two rings for cooking only. 1 pan and a frying pan.We were given two hand towels a bath mat and two bath towels which were to last us all week, we washed them ourselves. Bedlinnen the same. 1 toilet roll for the week. We left a spare one in the safe for the next people. Happy hour was 6 - 9.30 we purchased two martini and lemonade £6.00 which tasted very weak. The pool was great and the people were friendly. On the way home we again had to drag our cases up the brew and down to the road my mum is 70.The apartments were probably at one time really nice but after years they were now starting to look as though they needed a facelift. They advertised 4 stars on their sign but I would have rated them as 3 star only.

It is a nice setting and the meal was nice, there is a parking area and you need to go early or late as people queue to go in.

Skippys - (Restaurants in Alykes)

This was the worst meal we had on holiday I ordered mussel saganaki which had broken mussel shells in and the peppered steak had no peppers and tasted like horse meat. We were plagued by cats as they were being thrown meat from the customers who obviously must not have liked their meal to throw it to the cats, they wandered in and out of your legs whilst you were eating.

Food to die for the lobster and prawn cocktail was delicious, kleftiko, Stiffado and mushroom steak yum yum. Very efficient staff. Wish they were here in England.

We had Chinese which isn't the best I have ever tasted the staff were very friendly but we found it the most expensive place in Alykes. 45 Euros for starter and main course 1 beer and 1 shandy.

Went in for a drink and sat there for 10 mins then realised we had to go to the bar to order. couldn't get served only two behind he bar so went to the Lofos bar accross the road, which was handy as it was happy hour 10pm to 11pm 50 cents a shot. Great drinks and friendly people.
