Bozikis Hotel - (Accommodation in Laganas)

Shaz

where do we start? the studio was rather small, although ours was one of the larger rooms in the complex. we also had an in-built water feature in the bathroom (when upstairs residents - stay clear of room 27, which had the leaky floor, damp walls and you stubbed your toe on the fridge as soon as you got out of bed - had a shower, water flowed through our ceiling!!!) cleaners didn't visit often enough and gave us hand towels to dry ourselves on. bar staff do not speak or understand good english which caused problems when we requested a security box (bar girl gave us a food menu) if you have a pool view studio (as we did) do not expect to get any peace until at least 3am. we don't mind noise but even when the bar was empty and ready for closing the music was blaring!! quite a lot of noise created from nearby traffic and a**eholes (from other apartments!!) wanting to skinny dip at 4am. excellent holiday but would not recommend these apartments to couples, families, groups or elderly people!!!!!!!

Amigos - (Bars in Laganas)

Shaz

full of weirdos who gave you the creeps, place was dirty and smelly, vodka and orange was watered down. The only saving grace was Bomba Blue playing but you could enjoy their music at a number of other venues in Laganas, so there was really no need to visit this sh*thole!

Cherry Bay - (Bars in Laganas)

Shaz

Was it the cheesy music that made this place smell so bad??? Would probably be quite good during the high season, but we went last 2 weeks in September and there was on 18-30 crowd in and the atmosphere was poor. Worth another visit at another time of year.

Hot Lips - (Bars in Laganas)

Rachel G

This place was xcellent for brekkie (try the Full Monty English or the Special Scrambled Egg - cured the hangover every time!!!) During the day the played all the latest films and the evening was good karaoke entertaiment. Staff friendly and helpful (especially the blonde english woman)

Relax Bar - (Bars in Laganas)

Rachel G

Many a good night was had in here... brilliant singers (especially the Scottish Neil Diamond and big bald Tom Jones - last two weeks in Sept 01) and crap singers (me and Jenny).... no body cares and they are all given the same warm welcome. Try the Kamakazi cocktail... lovely jubbly!

Vivian Hotel - (Accommodation in Laganas)

Rachel G

this place was quite good... it would have been better if we weren't staying at the bozikis studios across the pool. impossible if you want an earlyish night, music was far too loud for the size of the bar, quite often there were a**eholes skinny dipping at 4am.... but the cocktails were nice and the staff friendly.

September - (Best Time to Visit)

Rachel G

We went 14-16th September and it was brill. Hot but not too hot during the day. Night time could get a bit chilly so take a light jacket. We had rain for an hour on two different days but it soon cleared up. The nightlife was still busy but not so busy that you could not get a seat anywhere. Beware of the killer wasps (they are big and plentiful). We had a great holiday in Laganas, although we wouldn't go back... it's one of those place you can say you've been and seen! We would recommend it to anyone.

Chemists - (Doctors/Chemists in Zante)

Rachel G

i took a bad asthma attack whilst i was there and the chemist in Laganas was a god send. They spoke good english and were very helpful. Their prescription was cheaper than going to the doctors and i was able to enjoy the rest of my holiday

Strings Bar - (Bars in Laganas)

Rachel G  (17 October 2001)

Well worth a visit to listen to the band Bomba Blue.. every Tuesday and Thursday from 9ish. This band were total entertainment and very good on their guitars. Strings is quite small so its very intimate which adds to a great atmosphere. The cocktails were cheap but some did taste watered down.... dont let that put you off! Pay the place a visit... Go on, you know you want to!
